FREYA POV

Honestly getting the tattoos wasn’t as bad as I thought. I am so glad that Colt decided he was going to do them for me though. He used the mate bond through a couple of the spots that I could hardly handle.

I decided to get the tribal one on my thigh just above my knee. All of my skirts have slits that will show it off

Then I got the Big Sky one on my shoulder blade on the opposite side. That one you can see with most of my shirts. Both, will be visible with my dress for tonight.

The closer the ceremony gets the more nervous I am. I am going to do my make up, and Jessi is going to do my hair. It’s nothing fancy, but I suck at doing anything with my hair so she’s going to help me not look like I just got out of bed.

My mom brought over my dress. She also brought me advice.

“You’re Luna now sweetie, there’s nothing you need to worry about tonight. Just say the words, smile, dance with your new husband, say hellos and let Stella do the rest. She’ll know just what to do when it’s her turn.” my mom winked.

Part of the Luna ceremony is to mate with the Alpha, in front of everyone! Thankfully, it’s your wolves that have to do it. Stella is f*****g excited for it. I’m glad, if it were in human form I don’t think I could do it.

It symbolizes a vulnerability with your pack and willingness to do anything for them. I think I can find many other ways to do that, but I wasn’t around back then.

Even I had to close my mouth when I saw myself put together in my dress for tonight’s ceremony. Colt is going to be upset that it’s Max getting me out of this dress tonight.

I walked down to the ceremony with Jessi in her beautiful green dress. I couldn’t wait to see Colt’s face.

COLT POV

How am I not supposed to f**k her right here and now? She gradually strolled out of the trees and my eyes caught her just as I was about to walk behind the stage.

That dress made her look like a powerful and incredibly sexy Queen. Perfect for the ceremony. Red is definitely her color when she wants to look like she could both f**k you senseless and kill you instantly.

I made sure everything was perfect for her. I’ve practiced the speech in my head and in the mirror in my office about a hundred times. I wore a tux for the second day in a row. The fact that I will get to shred this thing when I shift to Max makes me pretty happy.

She walked over to me and smiled. “So?” she asked as she turned around to show it off to me, her new tattoos I gave her earlier today already healing and adding to the amount of sexy.

“I might have to take you behind the stage before this ceremony begins.” I growl through my teeth as I sweep her into my arms and kiss her.

“Sadly…” I sighed, “There’s not enough time for that.” I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the back of the stage.

“Ready my wife?” I winked at her.

She sighed nervously, “No, but let’s do this.” she smiled.

“You’re going to be the best Luna baby!” I said walking onto the stage.

“Big Sky!” I roared and the pack went wild. “Yesterday we celebrated the goddess fating me to a beautiful woman! Today though, we celebrate that beautiful woman becoming a part of our pack!” There were claps and whistles.

“I wanted to let you all know, the woman that we are about to appoint as your Luna is not just another woman from another pack. This woman is not only a purebred Alpha descendent but a purebred Big Sky wolf!” howls echoed through the mountain. I could feel Freya’s nerves calming down listening to how happy the pack is.

“Big Sky, join me in welcoming our new pack Luna, Freya Bennett!” everyone howled and clapped, and I joined in. She came out looking like the Queen she is and I really couldn’t be more proud that this is who I’m mated to.

After a moment I calmed the crowd down and began.

“Freya, do you swear before our pack and the Goddess that you will love Big Sky, that you will do your all to protect Big Sky, that you will put Big Sky above all else, and that if necessary you will die for Big Sky?” I asked, holding my breath until she answered.

“Yes, I swear.” everyone applauded and cheered.

I smiled hearing her devote herself to the pack I’ve loved my whole life, I grabbed the ceremonial crown to place on her head. I have no idea why we have these things we literally never wear them again.

“Freya Bennett, you are now, and forever will be until the day you are taken from this Earth, Luna of Big Sky!” I placed the crown on her head.

The whole pack erupted in howls and her and I both jumped in.

It was beautiful. Now, we dance.

I love dancing with her. I hate dancing, but I love dancing with her. She lights up the room and leaves me breathless. I understand fully why my great great grand father ended his life when my mother died. I understand fully why my great grandfather, my grandfather, and my father

all ended their lives when their fated mate died.

I will never be able to live without her. I can’t imagine the pain it would cause if I lost her. I would burn the whole world to the ground if I needed to. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for this woman, and when she gives me pups and secures the future of the pack I will give this woman the entire world if it’s what she wanted.
