The Big Sky Alpha novel Chapter 63

COLT POV

When I heard the bells it felt like a switch flipped. One second I’m smiling and happy that I’m having a baby boy and a baby girl, giving our pack a future alpha. The next second I’m filled with rage and ready to tear people to pieces.

The look on Freya’s face when I told her what the bells meant, right after seeing the happiness in her eyes about our babies, was enough to make any man see red.

I never spoke to Freya about what to do when this happens so all I could do was tell her to go up to our room and stay safe.

I turned and left without looking back. Ash is my next in command when Levi isn’t here so I mind linked him instantly.

“What’s going on? Where do I need to go?” I asked.

“By the battle cage and eating area they came in from down there. It’s Crescent Moon alpha!” He responded quickly.

Of course it was. I shifted and ran. I knew something wasn’t right. Aiden knew he’d never beat me but he challenged me to the death all the while talking about taking my fated mate from me. It all felt off when Freya said she’d seen them together earlier in the day before I killed him in the cage. Then tonight when I watched how the beta Kris was in the ring, I knew it had to be the pack behind it all.

I’m not sure what his pack has to gain from losing their alpha and their beta in the battles and then attacking us, but this was clearly thought out.

“Big Sky, I want a few of them alive for interrogation. Kill the rest.” I commanded.

As I approached I stood there a moment watching what was happening. Their warriors were coming up from the south of the pack, that would explain why the bells were so distant, they’re down by the waterfalls. They sounded them when the pack was down there giving our pack enough time to rally and meet here to start fighting.

I ran down to be with my warriors and as soon as their pack saw me, several split off from what they were doing and ran toward me. I saw them coming and instead of backing down like I suspect they were wanting I ran right towards them. I dodged the first guy’s attack grabbing his long hair behind him and pulling him back down off his feet, then released his hair and jumped on top of the second guy crashing him to the ground.

The third guy came at me with his head down like he was going to head butt me so I stepped to the side and grabbed his head as he was passing and twisted with all my might, snapping his neck. I was back to facing guy one and two who were back on their feet now. Guy two drew a sword and lunged at me, I dodged and suddenly Ash came bursting through with one guy already on the pointy end of his sword and took guy two with them too leaving me and guy one. I wasted no time rushing at him, he went to punch me and I grabbed his fist and punched him with it as I was stepping into him, grabbing the dagger from his waste band and spun around him slicing his throat from behind.

I felt a sting in my thigh from behind, I got shot with an arrow. I turned and looked finding two guys standing against a tree shooting my men with arrows. Thank goddess it wasn’t a gun but it was still something that could do a lot of damage. I jumped up in a tree beside me and jumped through the branches until I was just over them and I dropped down on them. One of them seemed unconscious but the second realized what happened and pulled out a dagger and cut my arm before I could use the other guys dagger I still had in my hand to stab him.

I looked over towards Ash and he had two men on him and three more were headed toward me plus all the others that are fighting around us. It looked like Big Sky was doing well, it made me proud. I thought the first guy out of the three stabbed me but I didn’t feel anything so I took my little dagger and stuck it into his chest pulling it out and sticking it into his neck then pulling it out and dropping him to the ground.

I knew the second guy stabbed me, but I didn’t feel anything. I elbowed him in the face, then grabbed his long hair and pulled his head back and stuck my dagger in his throat and grabbed the sword on his hip and spun around cutting the head off the third guy. I paused a moment and looked around, what I saw had me at a loss for words.

Every Big Sky member was lightly glowing with white around them. They were getting hit and stabbed but it wasn’t getting to them.

“I’ve got you Big Sky, slaughter the intruders!” I heard Freya’s voice in my head. She mind linked the whole pack, she was using her abilities to protect us.

With everyone knowing they weren’t being touched, Big Sky began ripping Crescent Moon apart. Everyone was invincible and they took full advantage of it.

Within minutes, everyone was standing over piles of bodies covered in blood and howling. After about a half hour, the attack was done. I looked around and in the middle of a bunch of bodies there stood Freya,

She was in a white dress that went to her feet, she looked like an Angel. The morning sun was beginning to rise, just barely lighting up the sky.

The bottom of her dress was covered in blood as she walked over the bodies. Not around them, she walked barefoot through the blood and lifeless bodies and every member of Big Sky turned to look at her.

It was only at that moment I realized she had a sword in her hand and she was walking towards a woman that was also walking towards her.

It was Jasmine.
