“This place, Teafall Peaks, is actually on the outskirts of our city.”

“But it’s so remote and difficult to access by car that even though roads have been built, almost no one ever goes there.”

“Years ago, someone was interested in developing it into a tourist area, but the plan never got off the ground and eventually fizzled out. After that, the region was practically forgotten.”

“Occasionally, a charity or student aid group might go there to scout for students to sponsor. A few have managed to get out and test into schools, but their success has been limited, and they haven’t been able to bring any attention to that poor, isolated place.”

Something suddenly occurred to Owen. “Teafall Peaks… do they grow tea there?”

“Yes,” Julian said. “The tea sales are low, but it’s genuinely high–quality tea. Unfortunately, it has no brand recognition. Most people have never even heard of it.”

“And when people hear the high price for an unknown tea, they steer clear. So the people of Teafall Peaks have always struggled financially.”

“The tea is also exquisite and difficult to produce, so the residents can’t lower the price. If they did, they’d be selling at a loss, and all their hard work would be for nothing.”

Autumn stared at the photos in the file, unable to believe such a run–down place still existed.

According to the report, before the roads were built, every household in Teafall Peaks still used kerosene lamps.

The students who managed to get out of there must have been incredibly bright.

But they’ve probably burned themselves out just getting that far.

Once they leave, they’re up against students who’ve had top–tier educations from day one. No matter how hard they work, it’s almost impossible to catch up.
