Leeanne raised an eyebrow. ‘So the fishing rod is a consumable too. I’d better keep an eye out for materials to make more, she thought.
Then, she traded the repaired fishing rod, a bread roll, and a bottle of water to William.
William paused for a moment before taking them, his eyes shining with tears. His lips quivered for a long time before he finally managed to say, “Thank you!”
Then he repeated, “From now on, anything I find—unless I absolutely need it to survive–I’ll give it all to you.”
Leeanne was his lifesaver.
He was a quiet guy, and for survival, he’d swallowed his pride and begged for help for two whole days. All he got in return were insults and mockery–no one gave him even a sip of water or a bite to eat.
Only Leeanne had stepped up–not just giving him food and water, but also fixing his fishing rod so he could survive.
He was grateful to Leeanne, and he’d owe her for the rest of his life.
Leeanne had no clue about William’s complicated feelings. She closed the video window and started sorting through her inventory.
She now had four loaves of bread roll, a bottle of water, and a good stash of iron, nails, and wood.
Since she was using her pillow, blanket, toothpaste, and toothbrush, she didn’t include them in her inventory.
Now that there weren’t any supply chests drifting over at the moment, Leeanne stretched out on her bed to grab a quick nap.
She needed her nap.
About an hour later, William sent over eight pieces of plastic and two empty chests, dropping a message: “I managed to fish up two chests, but all I got was plastic. I remembered you needed it, so I sent it your way.”
Leeanne perked up, quickly sat up, grabbed the plastic, and returned the empty chests. She replied, “Next time you get some wood, break down the chests and use it to expand your raft. I’ve got plenty of wood and nails, so I don’t need these. If you find anything unusual, just show ine.”
“Sure thing!” William knew expanding his raft was key to staying alive, so he agreed without hesitation.
Meanwhile, Leeanne started crafting a small fishing net.
[Small Fishing Net Can be placed on the edge of the raft to catch fish and shrimp Materials needed Plastic 21/20, Rope 21. Wood 89/1. Do you want to craft it?]
“Yes! Leeanne replied.
In just ten seconds, a white small fishing net appeared on the raft
Sure enough, it was a small fishing net–only less than ten feet long. Leeanne figured it wouldn’t snag any big fish, but it’d be great for catching little fish and shrimp.
But honestly, she was still thrilled about it.

She secured the small fishing net to the edge of the raft, looked it over from all sides, and once she was satisfied, she finally stood up.
‘Sweet, looks like I’ll have fish for dinner tonight,‘ Leeanne thought, her stomach already rumbling in anticipation.
Grinning ear to ear, she kept fishing for more supply chests.
Today was her lucky day–every so often, another chest drifted by, and not a single one was empty. She scored every time.
Plus, each chest was loaded with useful stuff.
Leeanne couldn’t help but marvel at how powerful Maximum Luck really was.
She was so busy that at noon, she only managed to grab a custard croissant before diving right back into her chest–fishing mission.
By evening, she’d fished up a ton of chests, scoring 30 pieces of wood, 30 nails, 5 loaves of bread roll, 3 bottles of water, 8 pieces of iron, and 10 pieces of plastic.
On top of that, she hit the jackpot once and found 5 bags of wholewheat bread roll in a single chest.
That was a seriously impressive haul.
From what Leeanne had seen in the chat, most people could only fish up four or five chests a day, maybe seven or eight if lucky, and some of them might even be empty. Even when there was something inside, it was usually just one or two items.
If there was wood in a chest, most of the time you’d only get three or five pieces, tops.
So honestly, she was practically rolling in riches now.
With no chests drifting by at the moment, she took the chance to break down all the useless chests and reorganize her stash.
She had a ton of wood and nails, enough to upgrade her raft today. But for now, fishing for chests was her main mission, so Leeanne planned to hold off on raft expansion until the sun went down.
Suddenly, William sent over a trade request: [Regular Wooden Chest Key] [Water Bottle] [Plastic x3]
He actually found a chest key? Leeanne thought.
Her eyes lit up. She’d had a locked wooden chest sitting around forever, just waiting for this moment
Finally, she could open it.
She only took the chest key, sent the water bottle and plastic back, and handed William a bread roll
It looked like William hadn’t managed to fish up any food, so he was probably hungry The bread roll was just what he needed.
As for the rest, she’d make sure he got his fair share in the future and wasn’t about to let him lose out.
William accepted the bread roll and quietly got back to work
Leeanne examined the regular key closely. It was made of brass, a bit worn and old, and matched the chest perfectly
She held the key tight, pressed her hands together, and muttered a little prayer

‘Come on, mystical cherry grove, come on, Maximum Luck–please let there be something good in there!‘ Leeanne prayed inwardly.
She slid the key into the lock, turned it slightly, and with a soft click, the lock opened.
Leeanne rubbed her hands for luck, feeling her heart race, then slowly lifted the lid.
[Thanks to today’s Maximum Luck, you’ve obtained 1 Stove Blueprint, 10 packs of pasta, and 1 bag of oats (5.51b)]
Whoa, I really hit it big! What a massive haul!‘ Leeanne thought, her heart pounding with excitement. ‘Now that’s some serious luck!‘
Her eyes lit up, sparkling with excitement.
There was a ton of stuff–oats, pasta, and even a stove blueprint. Tonight, she could finally enjoy a real hot meal.
[Stove Blueprint: Keeps you warm, lets you cook, and boils water–a must–have for your raft life. Just don’t forget to add a chimney if you’re using it indoors! Requires: Iron 19/10.]
Leeanne couldn’t help but linger over the stove blueprint, wishing she could stare at it a little longer. But when she spotted another chest drifting her way, she quickly switched gears and went to fish it up.
For some reason, not a single chest showed up for over an hour.
Leeanne was getting worried. In just a little over an hour, the sun would set, and she wouldn’t be able to fish for chests anymore. Maximum Luck wouldn’t do her any good after that.
Such a shame, she thought, feeling really disappointed.
She grabbed her water bottle for a sip, and as she glanced out over the ocean, something caught her eye in the distance.
Wait, what’s that?‘ she wondered.
It was just a faint outline, but it looked like a mountain.
