Someone immediately asked: [What’s going on?]
Emmett just snickered, keeping his mouth shut.
Meanwhile, Leeanne was having a private chat with Enrique.
She stared at the millet Enrique sent her, feeling a little confused.

She didn’t even know Enrique. He was from District 35, and they’d never spoken before. So why was he suddenly handing her millet, no questions asked?
Everyone knew she was collecting millet, and most people would try to squeeze her for a higher price.
But Enrique just gave it to her for free, and each bag was packed full and still sealed.
“That’s really generous, Leeanne thought.
It was generous to the point that Leeanne found it downright baffling.
Enrique sent her a message. [Sorry, I’ve been busy lately. Let me introduce myself. I’m Enrique, previously from District 35, and I’m Jessica’s father. I sent you the millet to thank you for taking care of Jessica and saving her during the island hunt.]
‘Oh, so that’s what it was, Leeanne thought, finally understanding.
Enrique continued: [This bit of stuff doesn’t even come close to showing how thankful I am. My crew and I are still going through our things, and once we’re done, I’ll check if there’s anything else I can send your way.
[If there’s something you want, just tell me now. I’ll do whatever I can to help you out.]
After thinking it over, Leeanne replied: [If you have any seeds, could you set some aside for me? That’s all I need right now.]
Other than the millet and chick feed she needed at the moment, there was nothing else she urgently needed.
Enrique instantly sent her some seeds. [Cabbage seeds, lettuce seeds, spinach seeds, potato seeds, and pumpkin seeds.]
Leeanne already had cabbage and potato seeds, so she only took the spinach and lettuce seeds.
Now she had two more kinds of seeds to add to her stash, but the real headache was still the lack of water, and her land was starting to run out of room.
Leeanne decided to expand her raft. Maybe once it hit 10 thousand square feet, the cherry grove space would level up again.
She checked the trading hall again and saw that most of her supplies had been sold. Now she had over 3,000 wood and a stash of nails in her inventory.
After checking her inventory, Leeanne saw she still didn’t have enough wood or nails, so she listed more supplies for trade.
She’d just finished listing everything she wanted to trade when Emmett messaged her privately: [Leeanne, did Enrique get in touch with you?]
Leeanne asked, her curiosity piqued: [You know Enrique?]
Emmett got excited. [Of course, I know him. I know what he used to be like, and how he’s doing now. I just talked to some people from District 35.]

Emmett deliberately left Leeanne hanging, stopping mid–sentence,
After waiting for a while, and Leeanne was still silent, he finally continued: [Enrique’s pretty impressive. Before he landed in this survival world, he was a shrewd businessman. He had his fingers in all sorts of pies, kind of mysterious. You know what 1 mean?]
Leeanne was baffled.
‘What am I supposed to know? I don’t get it at all. Is Enrique some kind of boss? Leeanne wondered to herself.
Emmett added proudly: [I just did some digging. He’s famous in District 35. A few of his most trusted guys were there too. and they’ve teamed up with him. They follow his lead and have built the most powerful faction in District 25.]
Leeanne: [Yeah, okay.]
‘No wonder Enrique mentioned his crew earlier. He’s already got his own squad together, pretty impressive, Leeanne thought.
With someone as powerful as Enrique, Leeanne supposed nobody would dare bully Jessica anymore.
‘Some people are just born lucky, Leeanne thought.
When Leeanne remained quiet, Emmett got anxious. [Hey, Leeanne, are you even listening to me? Enrique has a ton of supplies. You saved his daughter, so he’s definitely going to repay you big time. Don’t feel bad about taking what he gives you.]
Leeanne messaged sincerely: [I know, thank you, Emmett.]
‘I need to figure out what to ask for and what would really be worth the most, Leeanne thought to herself.
Emmett was pretty warm–hearted, but a little absent–minded. Leeanne suddenly recalled something. [Emmett, don’t you still owe me an Intermediate weapon blueprint?]
Emmett tried to laugh it off. [Leeanne, you sure don’t forget anything, do you?]
Leeanne snorted. [Of course, I must keep my memory sharp. Otherwise, someone might just forget they owe me and never pay up.]
Emmett protested: [I’m not dodging my debts. I just haven’t been able to get my hands on an Intermediate weapon blueprint. But I did score this, Advanced refined blade staff.]
[Advanced refined blade staff: Works as both a blade and a staff, a real killer weapon for taking down enemies.]
Leeanne examined the blade staff closely. It was a special kind of weapon. It looked just like a solid iron rod, but with a press of a hidden mechanism, a short blade would slide out from one end, letting one use it as a knife.
It was a good weapon.
Leeanne: [Looks good.]
Emmett: [But this is an Advanced weapon blueprint, way more valuable than an Intermediate one.]
The difference between Advanced and Intermediate weapon blueprints was night and day. Three Intermediate ones wouldn’t even come close to matching the value of a single Advanced blueprint.
Leeanne paused, then joked: [How about this? Hand over that Advanced weapon blueprint, I’ll owe you for now. When I score something awesome, I’ll give it to you.]

Chapter 108
יד
Emmett was taken aback. [You want to just take it and pay me back later?]
Leeanne: [Why, is that not okay?]
Emmett was utterly speechless.
Emmett couldn’t really refuse because he owed Leeanne a blueprint.
‘I can’t believe how shameless Leeanne is, Emmett thought.

‘She’s sitting on a pile of good stuff, keeping it all to herself, and now she wants to owe a broke guy like me a blueprint?
Actually, Emmett had meant to give the blueprint to Leeanne. Lately, he was all about throwing daggers and had zero interest in bulky weapons like this. Besides, Gideon’s weapon was way better, so he really had no use for it.
But he really wished Leeanne could sweeten the deal a little.
However, no matter how much he wanted to ask Leeanne to throw in something extra, he just couldn’t bring himself to say it. After all, he owed her a blueprint before.
Leeanne was holding back her laughter.
In the end, Emmett replied hesitatingly: [You… I… Ugh, fine.]
Leeanne chuckled. [Here, check this out. Bob’s Boots.]
Leeanne had been meaning to give Bob’s Boots to Emmett for a while now. These boots were different from all the others. The ones obtained from chests would magically resize to fit any player. But Bob’s Boots were unique. The size never changed.
So basically, only someone whose feet were the same size as Bob’s could wear them.
Probably because these were Bob’s Boots. They weren’t the average deerskin or cowhide boots.
Bob’s Boots were about a men’s size 13, seriously huge. Hardly anyone had feet that big.
Emmett had some seriously big feet. Leeanne figured these boots would be just right for him.
Moreover, these boots were hard to sell.
With something this valuable, even if she put it up anonymously in the trading hall, anyone interested would have to send her a private message. The moment they did, her cover would be blown.
Now that the three districts had merged and it was getting crowded and chaotic, Leeanne was extra careful not to reveal too much about herself.
Given the situation, selling Bob’s Boots to Emmett was the best option.
Emmett had loads of supplies, so she never had to worry about him not having something good.
Emmett had been rambling on, but the moment he saw Bob’s Boots, he got all hyped up. [I want them. I need them. I have to have them. With 5 points added to Agility, I’ll be flying. Ugh, these stink.]
