The arrow was long, its tip razor–sharp and slender, with a golden head that shimmered with a chilling gleam Just looking at it, one could tell it packed a serious punch.
There were two feathers at the tail, and it was obvious that one of them came straight from the arrow Leeanne had just tried to fix.
‘No way, this counts as a repair?‘ Leeanne thought. This is more like recreating it, turning trash into treasure!
Leeanne couldn’t wait to check out the stats of the Swiftflight Arrow.
[Swiftflight Arrow: Flies fast and far, boosts shooting accuracy, deadly precise at long range. Anyone struck by this arrow will bleed nonstop and suffer unbearable pain. The arrow groove can be loaded with poison.]
“There’s an arrow groove?‘ Leeanne thought.
After a careful inspection, she finally spotted a small groove on the arrow shaft.
“This is awesome,‘ Leeanne marveled. There’s actually an arrow like this?”
Leeanne couldn’t put the arrow down. ‘Man, if only I could use arrows like this every time, she mused.
After her excitement died down, Leeanne held the arrow in her hand, lost in thought for a while.
“This Fortune’s Favor buff is simply powerful, she thought. It can take something that’s 90 percent destroyed and completely useless, restore it to brand new, and even alter its very nature.
“The more wrecked it is, the bigger the transformation. This luck boost is incredible.
Leeanne finally got the hang of how Fortune’s Favor worked, and she was both thrilled and a little regretful
She was stoked about its ability to turn trash into treasure, but she couldn’t help feeling a bit bummed tha she’d already wasted two uses.
Still, she had five left, and she was determined to make every one count.
Leeanne stood up, ready to head over to the warehouse and dig around for any damag worth salvaging.
Just as she got up, Emmett’s message popped up. Hey, Leeanne. Il trade you this W Bob’s Boots
White Pearl Necklace: A necklace made from special white pearls. Wearing it boosts Strength each by 1 point.]
Emmett wrote: [Not bad, right?)
Leeanne’s eyes lit up. (Not bad at all)

The necklace didn’t give a huge stat boost, but accessories like this were insanely rare. It was way more valuable than any piece of gear or hat with the same attributes.
Leeanne quickly calculated. Including the blade staff she got earlier, this trade was more than fair for Bob’s Boots and that Intermediate weapon blueprint.
She replied: [Deal.]
Emmett sent over the White Pearl Necklace, grinning ear to ear. [Here you go.]
Leeanne sent Bob’s Boots to him, and just like that, their private trade was complete.
As soon as Emmett got the boots, he wailed and wrote: [Ugh, Leeanne, these reek. Who the heck is Bob? Does he ever wash? I swear, these boots might be beyond saving.]
Leeanne joked: [Just try your luck. If you really can’t get the stink out, at least you’ve got yourself a new bioweapon.]
Emmett retched. [No, they’re so smelly. I’m paying someone else to clean them.]
Leeanne asked in disbelief: [Seriously? You can do that?]
Emmett smirked, full of himself. [Totally. I’ll just post it in the trading hall, and if someone picks it up, that’s it. The trading hall has rules. Nobody can rip me off for my boots.]
Leeanne laughed. [Alright, give it a shot.]
Suddenly, Emmett went quiet. After a moment, he wrote: [Ugh, I’m so pissed! Why can’t Gideon just accept reality? It was a locked treasure chest with a key, and he just went ahead and opened it. He opened it. I’m about to lose it.]
Leeanne asked, puzzled: [So what did he get?]
Emmett was fuming. [What do you think? Just a bunch of junk.]
Junk?‘ Leeanne mused. ‘Isn’t that exactly what I’m after right now?‘
The thought struck her. [Mind letting me take a look?]
She had no clue what kind of junk it was or how trashed it might be, but Fortune’s Favor could probably work its magic. She just needed to see if it was worth salvaging.
Emmett asked: [Why bother looking at junk?]
Leeanne replied: [Just messing around]
Emmett thought it was a bit weird, but since Leeanne was always up to something unusual, he didn’t bother asking any more questions,
He contacted Gideon immediately. [Hey, where’s that junk you just pulled out? Send it over so I can let Leeanne check it out.]

Gideon replied: [I sent it to you ages ago.]
Emmett fumed. [You always dump your trash on me. Don’t you have a trbin? You’re driving me nuts.]
Gideon replied: [I actually think I got some pretty good stuff this time. There’s even an entry pass. If it wasn’t damaged, it’d be awesome.]
Emmett pulled out Gideon’s stuff and got even angrier after checking it out. [Entry pass? It’s only half a piece. How are you supposed to use it?
[Show me how you’d use it. And seriously, all this time, I’ve never seen an entry pass. Are you sure it’s not fake? And those beads are all smashed. They’re totally useless.]
Emmett was practically heartbroken. This was a locked treasure chest. If he’d been the one to open it, he was convinced he would’ve pulled something amazing.
‘Why can’t Gideon just keep his hands off things?‘ Emmett thought exasperatedly.
Utterly annoyed, Emmett started a private chat and forwarded everything Gideon had sent him straight to
Leeanne.
Leeanne received three damaged beads and a battered entry pass.
The three beads were of indistinguishable material. They were tiny, much smaller than the pearls on her pearl necklace, and looked worn, full of pits and dents.
[Unknown damaged red bead: Damaged, unusable. It can be repaired with Fortune’s Favor.
[Unknown damaged purple bead: Damaged, unusable. It can be repaired with Fortune’s Favor.
[Unknown damaged yellow bead: Damaged, unusable. It can be repaired with Fortune’s Favor.]
‘Why are these beads different colors?‘ Leeanne wondered. Then it hit her, Wasn’t the Elixir also color–coded like this?
She thought for a moment, put the beads down, and picked up the entry pass,
[Half piece of entry pass: Damaged by an unknown force, unusable. It can be repaired with Fortune’s Favor Do you want to repair it?]
Right now, these weren’t hers yet, so she couldn’t do anything with them.
But Leeanne felt that these were definitely treasures worth repairing.
Now, her top priority was to claim them for herself.
Leeanne asked Emmett: [Do you guys want this stuff anymore?]
Emmett immediately replied: [It’s all just junk. Why would I want it? If you like it, take it. Wait, could these actually be valuable?]

Suddenly, Emmett wised up.

Leeanne replied: [It’s not like you guys can use it anyway. Why not take it
k and see for yourself?]
Emmett mulled it over. Gideon’s stuff was always junk. He always just threw it out in the end.
Still, he couldn’t figure out what Leeanne wanted it for.
Emmett was dying with curiosity.
After wrestling with his curiosity, Emmett finally let it go. ‘It’s just useless junk anyway, he thought, resigning himself.
Emmett wrote: [Whatever, just take it.]
He wasn’t the type to be petty. Once he’d handed over his trash, he wasn’t about to ask for it back.
Leeanne was practically bursting with excitement to test Fortune’s Favor. She grabbed the entry pass, which was now just a battered half.
[Half piece of entry pass: Damaged by an unknown force, unusable. It can be repaired with Fortune’s Favor. Do you want to repair it?]
“Yes,” Leeanne confirmed.
[Successfully repaired. You’ve obtained a pristine original entry pass. Fortune’s Favor uses left: 4]
A restored token materialized in Leeanne’s hand, with “entry pass” etched across its surface. The token was brown, rugged, and looked pretty unpolished.
Leeanne was puzzled. Tools and weapons always had their own tiers–Common, Excellent, Superior. Legendary, and Epic–but she’d never seen anything called original before.
“What does original even mean? Rough and unfinished?‘ she wondered.
Leeanne couldn’t figure it out, so she took a closer look at the entry pass’s info.
[Original entry pass: With this entry pass, you can choose any island to enter. It can only be used once, and you can stay for up to 15 hours. Do you want to use it?)
Just like the name said, this entry pass indeed let one enter any island one wanted. That sounded pretty
awesome.
‘And what about those beads? What would they turn into if I repaired them? Leeanne wondered.
