William just handed the key straight over to Leeanne, no fuss.

Leeanne noticed that he was pretty quiet. Every time he gave her something, he just sent it over–no deal, not even a hello.
He was a real honest guy.
Leeanne kept an eye on the Local Chat and had a rough idea of how much regular keys were worth. Some people had managed to pull up locked boxes, but none of them had the keys.
So, every now and then, someone would post in the chat, offering a pretty good reward for a key.
William was seriously lucky–he managed to score two keys in just one day.
He was definitely something else.
After thinking it over, Leeanne set aside the pasta and grabbed another box of pasta.
All her pasta was boxed, so she could just add hot water and eat it. But honestly, she never liked pasta made with hot water, but always preferred it cooked on the stove.
William probably didn’t have any containers, so she decided to prepare the pasta right in the box for him.
Once the water was boiling, Leeanne opened up the box of pasta, took out the seasoning packets, the veggie mix, and the beef packet, tore them open one by one, and added everything in.
She poured in the boiling water, sent it right over to William, and added a note: [Careful, it’s hot.]
Then she opened another box of pasta and tossed the pasta, seasoning, and everything else into her small pot.
Before long, a rich, mouthwatering aroma filled the air.
Leeanne couldn’t help but smile as she watched the little pot bubbling away, steam rising up–this was pure happiness.
Wow, it smells incredible. Braised beef and spicy, just how I love it,’ Leeanne thought to herself.
This pasta didn’t even have a brand, but the pasta was huge, and there were loads of veggies and beef packed in. It was stuffed with toppings, totally different from the usual stuff she’d had before.
Man, this is good, she thought.
Leeanne took a deep breath of the delicious aroma, feeling like she couldn’t be happier.
Back when she was working overtime, she’d always forget to eat, and by the time it was late at night, she’d be slurping down instant pasta, just like now.
‘Not much has changed, really. At least dinner comes a bit earlier these days, she thought to hersell
Soon, the pasta was ready Leeanne grabbed her stainless steel bowl and fork, freshly sterilized with hot water, scouped up a small portion of the pasta, and sat down to eat.
She dug in with a big smile.
While Leeanne was happily enjoying her meal, things were pretty different for William

He stood there, dazed, clutching the box of pasta Leeanne had sent him. His hand was getting scorched before he finally snapped out of it and hurriedly set it down on the chest in front of him.
‘Is this really pasta?‘ William thought, still in disbelief. ‘Right now, of all times, I actually get hot pasta? This almost feels like magic.‘
Now that it was dark, nobody could go fishing for chests anymore. Everyone was busy eating, and of course, showing off their meals in the chat.
William had just been scrolling through the chat.
All day, he’d only managed to snag a bottle of water, no food at all. He’d been surviving on the two pieces of bread roll Leeanne had given him.
He was planning to go hungry tonight, just scrolling through the chat to torture himself with everyone else’s food.
He opened up the box of pasta and peeked inside–it still wasn’t ready. Carefully, he put the lid back on and went back to browsing the chat.
[Dinner time! Check out what I’m having tonight–three saltine crackers!]
[Only three crackers? That’s not enough to fill you up. Look at mine. Two small bread roll!]
[Seriously, crackers and bread roll? That’s not a real meal. Check out my half a bread roll. Now that’s delicious!]
[You legends are making me drool, boohoo, all I’ve got is cold water.]
[Check out my dinner–a small fish!]
[Hey, how are you eating that fish? Braised or steamed?]
[Who even has a fire these days? Braised? Steamed? I’m just eating it raw! Gross…]
[Come on, at least you guys have something to eat and drink. Me? I’m just munching on air. Impressive, right? Sob… Any legends out there willing to toss me a bite? If not, even a sip of water would be a lifesaver!]
William couldn’t help but smile, running his hand over the warm box of pasta. He was itching to show it off in the chat.
But he was the quiet type, and at his age, unless he had no choice, he’d never jump into the chat.
He liked it this way. Watching everyone’s banter while he ate made the pasta taste even better. It was like catching up on a series while enjoying his meal.
And the best part? He was secretly enjoying every bit of the drama.
Lost in his own little world, William popped open the lid of his pasta box, his grin stretching even wider.
William: [A box of hot pasta
Shoot, did I just post that? he thought, his heart skipping a beat
He was the type who liked to stay under the radar. No way. I gotta delete it, he muttered to himself,
But the chat was moving so fast, he couldn’t even spot his own message anymore.
William’s post was impossible to miss Everyone saw it. They even clicked on the picture, and just seeing that steaming box

of pasta, they could almost smell the delicious aroma wafting through the screen.
The chat instantly blew up.
Damn, what did I just see? Pasta? And it’s already cooked, piping hot, tender, and smells so good!]

I saw it too! There are fresh green veggies and big chunks of beef. What kind of pasta is this? It’s packed with toppings.]
Slurp, slurp. I had to scroll back and look again; it looks amazing. My bread roll suddenly tastes bland!]
It smells so good. I’m drinking water just to go with that aroma, crying and drinking at the same time. Sob, why isn’t that pasta mine? Why? Why? I’m so jealous!]
Hey, don’t cry and don’t drink so much. Watch out, or you’ll finish your stash of bottled water, and once it’s gone, you’ll be >ut of water too.]
Water? Why would I drink water when the broth from the pasta is so good? It’s hot, it’s savory…]
The chat was blowing up with envy and dramatic cries, and William was secretly loving it, feeling pretty proud of himself. Still, he felt a little awkward, so he shot Leeanne a quick message: “Sorry about that.”
Leeanne was eating her pasta and watching the chat. Even though William only sent those three words, she instantly Inderstood what he meant.
