Less than half an hour later, Apprentice 49 showed up at Leeanne’s raft in a small boat, grinning from ear to ear.
He arrived a bit earlier than expected.
Little Blue and Snowy had already gone over to hang out with Apprentice 49. Leeanne’s eyes lit up as she quickly gathered a bunch of fresh fruit to give to Apprentice 49.
Leeanne asked, “Apprentice 49, do you know anyone who can fix instruments?”
Apprentice 49 grinned and said, “Yep, I sure do.”
Leeanne was thrilled. “Who is it?”
Apprentice 49 giggled mischievously. “Can’t tell you.”
Leeanne was momentarily at a loss for words.
“Whatever, if he can’t say it, let it be,’ she thought to herself.
But this time, she was extra careful. She grabbed a bunch of every fruit from her stash, packing several portions. With so many snack lovers around, you never know who might need it, she thought.
Gideon and Emmett quickened their pace and soon delivered the cards.
Leeanne could’ve just handed the cards to Apprentice 49, but since she wanted to ask about fixing the harp, she deliberately kept quiet and just hopped onto his wooden boat.
Apprentice 49 didn’t think much of it. He just kept munching on all kinds of fruit while rowing his little boat.
After a long while, Leeanne’s vision flickered, and before she knew it, she was approaching a small island. Right in the middle of the island stood a wooden villa.
Once they got off the boat, Apprentice 49 quickly led Leeanne straight to the villa.
In the villa’s courtyard, Leeanne spotted a few familiar faces.
There was Lucas, Apprentice 8, Apprentice 9, and to her surprise, Bob was there too.
The four of them were sitting around a square table, having coffee together.
Everyone was chilling out, enjoying themselves.
Apprentice 23 stood behind Lucas, casually fanning herself.
When Leeanne walked in, both Lucas’s and Bob’s expressions changed.
Bob’s face fell. “Why is she here?”
Lucas kept a polite smile, but couldn’t stop looking at Apprentice 23.
Apprentice 23 gently fanned herself. “Mr. Sullivan, didn’t you just tell Mr. Bob you were bored? I suggested playing cards, and you both seemed really interested, so I brought over the people who know how to make and play cards.”

Chapter 250
Lucas said, “We… We can’t just summon players unless there’s a mission. So you used my summon?”
Apprentice 23 chuckled. “Of course not.”
She gestured at Bob with her fan. “Mr. Bob and Leeanne have a deep connection, so of course, he has more initiative.”
“Oh?” Lucas turned around with a big grin.
He looked pretty pleased.
Bob looked totally lost. “What did I do? What’s going on?”
Apprentice 23 said, “Mr. Bob, Leeanne’s here. She came to see you.”
Bob said, “I’m not seeing her.”
Leeanne was speechless, thinking, ‘Seriously? I’m standing right here. Is Mr. Bob really just going to ignore me?”
She quickly pulled out the cards and said, “Here are the cards. Should I teach you guys how to play?”
Apprentice 9 leaned in for a closer look. “What are all these symbols? That’s really something!”
Leeanne picked up a card and said, “This is the Ace of Spades, these are the numbered cards from one to six of Hearts, these are called the numbered cards from one to six of Clubs, and these are the Kings, Queens, Jacks…”
She quickly introduced each type of card, capturing the attention of Bob and Lucas.
Apprentice 9 said, “There are so many! How am I supposed to remember all that?”
Apprentice 8 scoffed, “Come on, it’s just a handful of cards, and you can’t remember them? Are you really that stupid?”
Apprentice 9 exploded, knocking all the cups off the table. “Stupid? Who are you calling stupid? Apprentice 8, are you asking for trouble or what?
“What did I do? Why would you say I’m asking for trouble?” Apprentice 8 asked.
Apprentice 9 replied, “You called me stupid!”
Apprentice 8 said matter–of–factly, “I’m just stating the facts.”
“You just want to pick a fight,” Apprentice 9 said angrily.
Leeanne was totally stunned, watching Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9, the couple, argue like crazy. Lugas looked completely unfazed, while Bob just gritted his teeth and endured it.
Only Apprentice 23 quietly wiped down the table and set up the cards.
Apprentice 49, meanwhile, was completely focused on his food, totally ignoring the couple’s argument.
Before long, Leeanne and Apprentice 23 had the table all cleaned up and the cards neatly arranged.
Apprentice 23 said, “Alright, are you two done? Are we playing cards or not? If not, leave!”
The argument between Apprentice 8 and Apprentice 9 suddenly stopped.
Apprentice 9 plopped back down in her seat. “Wow, there are so many cards! Leeanne, remind me, what’s this one again? The Ace of Spades?”
Leeanne replied, “Yep, that’s right!“
Chapter 250
Apprentice 8, with a fresh handprint on his face, happily sat down. “Alright, let’s start! I remembered everything just now This time, I’m definitely going to win”
The card game was actually pretty simple. Leeanne explained the rules, and the group started playing right awa
After just a couple of rounds, Apprentice 9 was still a bit confused, but the other three picked it up fast
Once they started, they couldn’t stop. They got addicted right away.
Apprentice 23 gestured for Leeanne to come closer.
Leeanne walked over.
Apprentice 23 said, “I brought you here for two reasons. First, I want you to push Mr. Bob to finish the weapons faster. Second, I want you to chat with him and see if he’s got any new quests for you.
Leeanne was still busy with the merman prince’s quest and wasn’t about to take any new quests, just in case they had a time limit.
She pulled out the Crescent Harp and asked, “Any idea who can fix this?”
Apprentice 23 fell silent.
Leeanne looked at her eagerly.
Apprentice 23 didn’t reply, just shifted her gaze to the card table.
anne’s heart skipped a beat as she turned to look.
cas, Bob, Apprentice 8, and Apprentice 9 were really getting into their game. Apprentice 9 couldn’t remember the cards, out her luck was off the charts. She’d already won two rounds in no time.
Bob kept losing, and he looked to be in a seriously foul mood.
Leeanne put away the Crescent Harp, stood behind Bob, and gave him a few pointers. This time, Bob finally won a round.
With Leeanne’s guidance, Bob went on a winning streak, taking three games in a row.
He finally looked happy,
While everyone was setting up the cards, Leeanne pulled out the Crescent Harp and said, “Mr. Bob, do you think you could fix this?”
Bob’s expression immediately turned frosty. “I knew you weren’t just being nice for nothing!”
Lucas said, “Come on, Bob, she went through all that trouble to bring us the cards. It’s only right that we show some gratitude. Go help her fix the harp, and let Apprentice 23 take your seat.”
Apprentice 9 chimed in, “Yeah, yeah, let Apprentice 23 play! Mr. Bob, time for you to step down!”
Apprentice 9 was sick of losing and couldn’t wait to kick Bob out of the game.
Honestly, Bob was the most high–maintenance one here. Every time he lost, he’d pull a long face, as if everyone owed him a mountain of gold.
de card manners. Lucas and Apprentice 9 kept losing, too, but they didn’t make a big deal out of it.
“It’s not like I asked her to bring it over.”
Chapter 250
He fiddled with the Crescent Harp, his eyes gleaming with a hint of mischief. “I can help you fix it, but to repair this harp you’ll need Gold Silk Thread. I don’t have any here, so you’ll have to find it yourself”
Leeanne was stunned. “How am I supposed to find that?”
There wasn’t any Gold Silk Thread in the trading hall, and Leeanne had no clue what it even looked like.
Bob chuckled, “I can send you to Gold Silk Island. You can try your luck there.
“Gold Silk Island?” Leeanne echoed.
Apprentice 9 blurted out, “What? Bob, you’re sending her to Gold Silk Island? Do you want her dead? With Luminara Kingsley’s temper, anyone who dares mess with her Gold Silk Thread is asking to get torn apart.”
Apprentice 8 laughed, “Mr. Bob, you’re totally getting back at her!”
Lucas cleared his throat. “Luminara is not someone you want to mess with.”
