Chapter 261
From afar, a long, clear, and piercing cry echoed, and a dazzling, magnificent bird soared through the sky with its wings spread wide.
Little Blue was already starting to take on the appearance of a bluejay.
Its pale blue, gradient feathers seemed to glow, each one shimmering as if lit from within. Seven tail feathers swayed gracefully in the wind, radiating a dazzling, ever–changing light that was simply breathtaking.
A small crest on its head stood proudly, adding an air of nobility and distinction to its appearance.
Bluejays possessed a natural aura of dominance, as if nothing else in the world could compare.
It landed gently on the Cloudship Raft, and Leeanne jumped down.
For many, it was their first time seeing Leeanne in person.
They’d heard plenty about her, but never actually seen her.
They didn’t expect her to be so young.
Her features were delicate, yet the high ponytail, smooth forehead, slightly upturned arch of the eyebrows, and calm eyes lent her an air of refreshing and spirited elegance.
Leeanne and Little Blue both gave a powerful visual impact to the crowd.
Leeanne nodded to the merman prince, giving him an apologetic smile. “Sorry, something happened on the way, and I got held up.”
The merman prince just gazed at Little Blue in awe.
Little Blue let out a long, clear cry, and the merman prince exclaimed, “That sound is amazing, like the finest instrument!” Honestly, Little Blue’s voice was absolutely enchanting.
When Leeanne first met Little Blue, she was amazed by how sweet and melodious its voice was. Now, after a few evolutions, its voice had leveled up, more enchanting than ever.
Little Blue, feeling quite satisfied, let out another cry.
Leeanne looked at the merman prince, keeping a straight face. “Elvis, honestly, your voice is like a gift from the heavens.
“If a regular person tried to sing or play alongside you, they’d only bring down the whole vibe. It’d be such a shame for your talent…”
Emmett was stunned, muttering under his breath and clicking his tongue, “Man, that’s some world–class bootlicking!
as thinking Little Blue could accompany you instead. What do you say Little
Leeanne ignored him and continued, “So, I Blue is a master of music. It’s way better than me.*
A faint smile lingered on the merman prince’s lips as he listened to Leeanne.
He clearly favored Little Blue and nodded without hesitation. “Sure!”
Everyone was shocked.

‘Seriously? Is that even allowed?‘ they wondered.
Now, even someone blind could see Little Blue was anything but ordinary.
The merman prince naturally knew that Little Blue was a descendant of the bluejay.
Bluejays were masters of music, their voices flowing and mesmerizing, far superior to any ordinary singer. Of course, he’d much rather perform with a bluejay descendant. That was the perfect match.
Leeanne gave Little Blue a quick signal with her eyes.
They’d worked this out on the way over. Leeanne’s singing was honestly average. She was practically tone–deaf.
Little Blue, though, was on a whole other level. Plus, Little Blue couldn’t wait to show off its new and improved singing voice.
Leeanne had just one rule for it. “Sing well, and don’t say anything!”
The merman prince grabbed his harp, and a mesmerizing melody flowed straight from his fingertips, filling the air.
Just a few seconds later, Little Blue burst into song, its voice soaring and blending perfectly with every note.
No rehearsal needed. After leveling up so many times, Little Blue had an instinctive feel for music.
The audience was utterly spellbound, lost in the performance.
The merman prince’s harp was already captivating, but Little Blue’s voice carried a natural enchantment, pulling everyone in and making them surrender to the sound.
The song lasted several minutes, and when it finally ended, the merman prince wrapped things up with obvious reluctance.
Little Blue stopped singing as well.
Everyone was still in a daze, unable to snap out of it for a long time.
After what felt like forever, Emmett shook his head in amazement and said, “Not bad, not bad. Who would’ve thought Little Blue could sing like that?”
Danelle remarked, “No wonder. Every time Little Blue talks, people end up forgetting just how beautiful its singing is.”
Rodger said, “Maybe that’s just its way of protecting itself.”
Everyone snapped out of it, and someone blurted out, “Was that celestial music I just heard?”
“Check out that bird. Yep, that was definitely celestial music!” someone else confirmed.
“Honestly, the winner is obvious now,” another person chimed in.
“Hey, check it out,” someone called out. “The merman prince is all smiles now. He was frowning before, but ever since Leeanne showed up, his mood’s just kept getting better.”
The merman prince put away his harp and turned to Leeanne. “I’m really satisfied.”
At that moment, everyone knew that there was no doubt who the winner was.
Bailey’s face went pale. After hearing Little Blue and the merman prince’s duet, she realized she had lost.

‘But… that’s not fair, she thought. ‘Little Blue’s just a bird, and a bird winning doesn’t count as Leeanne winning.
She gazed at the merman prince, her eyes full of longing and anticipation.

The merman prince waved his hand dismissively. “Alright, thanks, everyone. The singing event’s over. You should head
back.”
Bailey kept her eyes locked on the merman prince, feeling frustrated that her affection meter with him hadn’t budged. She asked anxiously, “So… who’s in first place?”
The merman prince looked genuinely confused. “It’s just a singing event. Are we actually supposed to rank people?”
‘Wait, no rankings?‘ Everyone was stunned. The announcement stated that the person who best matched the prince would receive his favor and gifts.
Obviously, there had to be a first and second place.
But nobody dared to press the issue. The merman prince was notoriously temperamental. If anyone annoyed him, he might toss them off the raft in a rage.
Most people didn’t even care. It was never going to be them anyway.
At this point, Bailey was the only one who still cared.
She stared at the merman prince, seeing that his affection meter for her hadn’t changed. Refusing to give up, she asked, “Elvis, out of every person who played or sang with you, who did you vibe with the most?”
She practically spat out the word “person.”
The merman prince’s smile vanished, his expression turning cold. “Alright, everyone else can leave. Leeanne, stay.”
Bailey insisted, “No way, Prince Elvis! If you’re hosting a singing event, you owe us a straight answer.”
“The one who really matched him best has to be me. Little Blue is just a bird. It doesn’t even count as a person, Bailey thought.
The merman prince was clearly losing patience. “It’s Leeanne. Isn’t it obvious? Can’t you see that?”
