The water was icy now with the temperature drop, and Leeanne shivered. It only made her more determined to solve this quickly.

If it got any colder, she wouldn’t even dare to go in.

She dove beneath the surface, calmed herself down, and started eavesdropping on the sea creatures chatting all around her.

There were so many voices, all kinds of useless chatter. Leeanne stayed underwater for over half an hour before she finally overheard something useful.

It was a bunch of young manta rays.

Only when creatures gathered in groups did the gossip really start flowing.

The young manta rays were gossiping away, their voices never stopping.

“Can’t find Little Seal, and Mila’s getting all anxious!”

Leeanne squinted at Little Seal.

She waved at Little Seal. “Come here, Little Seal. I’ve got something to ask you.”

Little Seal had been sprawled out, bored, but as soon as Leeanne called, it happily scooted over, its big black eyes sparkling. “Ooh wah, what is it?”

Leeanne stared it down. “Tell me, have you ever seen a mermaid?”

Little Seal replied instantly, barely thinking. “Nope, ooh wah!”

Leeanne cocked her head. “You’re that confident? Not even gonna think for a second? Honestly, I’m a little worried. Rumor has it, mermaids have been sneaking out at night and snacking on people.”

Little Seal blurted out, even quicker, “No way, that’s impossible!”

Leeanne leaned in. “Oh, really? And how do you know for sure?”

This time, Little Seal got a bit flustered. “Mermaids don’t eat people.”

Leeanne pressed on. “How do you know? What if it’s your friend who’s been eating people?”

Little Seal jumped up. “No way, she doesn’t eat people!”

Leeanne grinned. “Oh, so your mermaid friend doesn’t eat people, huh?”

Little Seal stared at her with those big, round eyes, looking totally lost. “Ooh wah, I don’t have any friends, ooh wah, no mermaids either.”

Leeanne let out a dry chuckle, thinking, ‘Little Seal is totally hiding something.

‘Should I bribe Little Seal? No way. This little guy actually has some integrity. Not even Blue Phosphor Shrimp can tempt him, so nothing else would work either. This method won’t work.

‘If I let Little Seal go, maybe it’ll go and look for that mysterious friend of its. But Little Seal is way too fast underwater. There’s no way I can ever catch up. What should I do now?‘

Leeanne frowned, feeling stuck.

Snowy had been watching Leeanne closely. It quietly walked over and whispered, “Leeanne, are you facing some kind of problem?”

Leeanne whispered, “Any idea how we can keep up with Little Seal?”

Snowy paused for a bit, then said, “Leeanne, when I was steering the Omni Radar, I found out you can actually upgrade it.”

Leeanne nodded. “Yeah, I already know that.”

She’d already learned that back when she was setting up the Omni Radar.

Snowy said, “Some features on the Omni Radar can actually be upgraded. For example… there’s a function that lets you track specific targets.

Leeanne thought for a second. “Yeah, it can track hostile targets, like hurricanes, man–eating sharks, and the like.”

It could hardly stand up, but still stubbornly wanted to join the conversation.

Leeanne turned around and sighed. “Can’t you just take a break?”

Its beautiful feathers were now all dirty from rolling around in the soil.

“Wait, isn’t my raft always clean? How come there’s dirt now?‘ Leeanne wondered. ‘Oh no, Fluffy is wreaking havoc on the crops again!‘

It had already dug a huge hole in one of the garden beds, and plants were tossed everywhere.

Why is Fluffy causing chaos at home?‘ Leeanne couldn’t help but chuckle and shake her head. She hauled the muddy Fluffy out and tossed it right into the hot spring with Little Blue and Snowy so Fluffy could get cleaned up.

After that, she got to work picking up the plants Fluffy had scattered all over the place.
