Chapter 276
Chapter 276
The Lunara Blossoms were stunning. Their leaves were a pale green, and the petals faded from light blue to a midnight blue, with just a hint of yellow at the center.
Each flower was tiny, shaped like a crescent moon, and even in the morning, they emitted a soft glow.
They were truly eye–catching.
Leeanne caught a faint, almost imperceptible fragrance in the air.
“Lunara Blossoms!” someone shouted, rushing forward.
It was Liam.
He had just stepped onto the central path and into the grass, bending down to pick the Lunara Blossoms, when he suddenly froze.
Liam turned around, let out a cheeky laugh, twisted his waist, and broke into a goofy dance, singing, “I’m a master painter, watch me go! Gonna make that new house shine, make it look real fine…”
Everyone was left speechless.
Leeanne caught another whiff of that elusive scent, held her breath, and stepped back a few paces.
Everyone was either at the courtyard gate or just outside, and when they saw Liam acting like that, their faces went pale and they all hurriedly backed away.
A few people were already clutching their heads, swaying unsteadily.
Enrique called out, “Stop! The Lunara Blossoms mess with your head. Everyone, stay away!”
He pulled out a strip of cloth, covered his nose, and said, “Who’s coming in with me to help carry Liam out? He’s still dancing in there. Try not to let him ruin all the Lunara Blossoms!”
Sure enough, Liam was singing and dancing, already stepping on several of the Lunara Blossoms.
Rodger stepped forward. “I’ll do it!”
The two of them went in, carefully hauled Liam out, and set him down far away from the courtyard.
Liam just kept singing and dancing, totally committed to his “master painter” act.
Rodger and Enrique rushed back.
Taking a cue from the others, someone covered their nose and mouth with a cloth and carefully ventured into the courtyard.
Leeanne paused, took out a Clarity Elixir, popped it in her mouth, and walked into the courtyard to collect two Lunara Blossoms.
[Collection successful! Thanks to today’s double bonus luck, you’ve obtained 2 Lunara Blossoms.]

She dug up another one and stashed it in her backpack.

This time, she didn’t take any more. With her mystical cherry grove, where time moved ten times faster, everything she grew matured quickly.
Four Lunara Blossoms were plenty for her, so she didn’t pick more than she needed–no point in wasting them.
Another reason was that she didn’t feel at ease; she didn’t dare to go overboard.
The courtyard was pretty rough, and the style looked kind of familiar.
The rest of the group rushed in, racing against time to snatch up the Lunara Blossoms. Even with their mouths and noses covered, some were already stumbling.
The Lunara Blossoms were tough to pick. Most could only grab one before they had to bolt out and catch their breath for
ages.
And maybe it was the Lunara Blossoms messing with their heads, but everyone moved way slower, like they were stuck in slow motion.
With the Clarity Elixir in her mouth, Leeanne moved much faster than the others. She pretended to cover her nose and mouth, but quickly made her way to the row of houses inside the courtyard.
There were three houses in the courtyard, with a door and two windows.
Maybe the owner had left in a hurry. The door was just barely ajar. Leeanne gently pushed it open and slipped inside.
The middle room was empty, nothing to see, so she turned left and stepped into the room on the left.
This room had a big table, covered with all sorts of containers, test tubes, and lab gear.
Leeanne instantly grew wary. ‘Why does this setup look so much like Luminara’s lab?‘ she thought.
It wasn’t an exact match, but the containers were pretty much the same.
She immediately pulled open a drawer and found an experiment diary.
It was Luminara’s brewing experiment diary.
[Cloudy. Some thief stole my Gold Silk Thread. I’m pissed, but she left behind a bunch of precious brewing formulas. They all look legit. I’ll try them out first. If they work, maybe I’ll grudgingly forgive her.]
[Cloudy. The place is packed with Lunara Blossoms. My old friend gave me the seeds. Now my courtyard is full of them, but she’s gone.]
[Sunny. The Lunara Blossoms are about to bloom. I have to pick the freshest ones and toss them into my wine. That way, Ill finally get to feel what it’s like to become immortal–just like my old friend said.]
[Sunny. Today the Lunara Blossoms are blooming, and it’s also my old friend’s memorial day. I’m going to visit her. I’ll brew the wine when I get back. Three Lunara Blossoms… Maybe then she can…]
Next to the last entry in the experiment diary, there was even a doodle of a mermaid.
The drawing was kind of a mess, lines all over the place, but the mermaid’s hair was actually done up really nicely–a long. centipede braid, neat and tidy.
Honestly, the braid was the only part that looked like the artist actually knew what they were doing.

The last entry was dated today.
‘So this really is Luminara’s island!‘ Leeanne thought.
She’d had to step out to pay her respects to a friend, but she’d probably be back soon.

Leeanne mused, ‘So the Mermaid Queen took advantage of Luminara being away and sent us players over here to steal the Lunara Blossoms?
‘Gotta say, the non–player characters in this game are always scheming, using us players as their pawns.
‘So… does that mean we’ve basically offended Luminara? She’s a master tailor. Brewing is just her favorite hobby, even though she’s really not great at it. Uh–oh!‘
Leeanne immediately messaged the Assault Squad group chat: [Everyone, be careful! Don’t take too many Lunara Blossoms -just grab what you need.]
She also messaged Enrique directly to warn him.
Then she slipped the experiment diary back into the drawer and arranged some fruit on the table as a little peace offering.
After a moment’s thought, she grabbed a sticky note and scribbled: [Luminara, borrowed two Lunara Blossoms–fruit offered in return. If you ever need anything, feel free to reach out.]
She was definitely playing it smart with that “if you ever need anything” line.
‘If Luminara actually gets in touch, that’d be a win!‘ Leeanne thought.
After tidying up, Leeanne took one last look around but didn’t spot anything else useful. She stepped out, paused for a second, then locked the door behind her to help keep Luminara’s stuff safe.
The other two rooms were basically empty. Only this one was filled with lab equipment and supplies.
With everyone still feeling woozy from the Lunara Blossoms, Leeanne worried that if too many players crowded in, someone might stumble around and accidentally knock things over.
