Chapter 61
Suddenly, Danelle frowned. “Oh no, we’re out of charcoal, and we don’t have any grilling supplies either.”
Rodger leaned over. “I know how to make charcoal!”

Danelle shook her head. “Your workbench isn’t here, and you wouldn’t be able to make enough charcoal anyway. Forget it. we’ll just use wood. Rodger, go chop some wood!”
Leeanne stopped Rodger. “Wait up, guys. I’ve got grilling supplies, salt, spices, everything we need!”
She grinned. “Plus, I can make charcoal now!”
She’d just gotten the blueprint for smokeless charcoal when she rescued the baby monkey earlier.
She hurried back to her workbench and opened the smokeless charcoal blueprint.
[Smokeless Charcoal: Can be used in grills, braziers, and fire pits. Required materials: Smokeless Charcoal Blueprint (unlocks crafting), 1 piece of wood. Do you want to craft?]
Leeanne said, “Yes!”
[Crafting complete. Got 10 smokeless charcoal!]
Leeanne used five wood to make 50 smokeless charcoal and tossed them into a wooden box.
Meanwhile, Rodger and the others had already started washing the lamb.
Tools like the iron axe and iron pickaxe weren’t tradable, but if people were together in person, they could lend them to each other.
Leeanne just tossed her iron axe and iron pickaxe aside, so anyone could grab them if they wanted.
Rodger was full of praise for Leeanne’s Superior iron axe as he chopped up a wooden plank to use as a cutting board.
Leeanne loaded the smokeless charcoal into the grill and lit it with her lighter.
Rodger pulled out several large cuts of lamb and started slicing them up into bite–sized pieces.
Leeanne grabbed two slabs of beef, then asked Danelle to fish out some squid from the wooden box. She also brought out bread roll, chicken, and more.
Seeing Rodger had nowhere to put the sliced meat, she pulled out plates, bowls, and utensils
She’d gotten a 36–piece tableware set last time, and now it was finally coming in handy.
Danelle kept tsking as she ran her fingers over the spotless plates. “Leeanne, are you sure you’re not secretly working for the game devs?
“Look at us, still stuck with wooden bowls, and you’ve already got ceramic plates. Let me see, wow, top–notch bone. I’m dying of envy here!”
Rodger burst out laughing. “Danelle, just keep your cool!”
Leeanne smiled. “Good thing we’ve got bowls and utensils, or you’d be stuck eating food straight from the pot today?”

Danelle quickly grabbed a ceramic bowl with a cherry blossom on it. “Alright, this is mine. I’m using it for my food later!”
Watching everyone laugh and joke around, Leeanne kept pulling out more food, beef, chicken, fish, bread roll, loaf, and even some sausage. Only then did she finally get a moment to check on the chickens and rabbits in the cage.
They’d been locked up for half the day and were starting to get a bit agitated.
Leeanne built out the raft next to the field, fencing off two rectangular pens, one for the chickens, the other for the bunnies. Then she split some wood into planks with her iron axe and threw together some shelters for them.
They weren’t much to look at.
But they were just enough to do the trick.
Leeanne lingered by the pens, and out of nowhere, she started missing her grandpa. He could do it all, catch birds, snare rabbits, build cozy shelters, and even whip up anything with a bit of wood.
‘Man, if Grandpa were here… Leeanne thought to herself.
But as soon as the idea popped up, she shook it off and thought, ‘Nah, better let him enjoy his life back home.
“Come on, Leeanne, time to grill!” Danelle called out cheerfully.
Leeanne snapped out of her thoughts and walked over.
Danelle, Rodger, and William had already put together loads of skewers, beef, lamb, chicken, wings, bread roll, and even bread roll slices.
‘I’ll take care of the grilling!” Rodger volunteered.
He and William teamed up, one brushing on the marinade, the other flipping the skewers, both totally caught up in the fun.
Danelle watched and nodded. “This setup is just like those outdoor BBQs we used to have on our picnics. If only we had some beer to go with it…”
Rodger laughed. “You’re always wanting more. Don’t forget, most of the time you’re just sitting on your chest eating grilled bread roll.”
Danelle grabbed a grilled chicken wing, took a bite, and grinned mischievously at Rodger.
Before long, Rodger had grilled up several plates piled high with all sorts of skewers, meat, and bread roll. Meanwhile, the codfish was ready to serve.
Danelle had also cooked up a plate of spicy rabbit meat.
Leeanne set the pot on the table and told everyone to help themselves.
The table was big enough for six, so the four of them had plenty of room to spread out.
The table was loaded up with codfish, heaping plates of lamb, beef, and chicken skewers, grilled fish, chicken wings, spicy rabbit, plus some grilled bread roll. There was barely any space left.
Lecanne took a look, then went to grab a basket of strawberries and set a few slices of watermelon off to the side
Now the table was truly packed to the brim.

Danelle was practically drooling, ready to pounce on the food. “Wow, this spread is insane.
“Hold up. Like always, we need pics before we dig in. Everyone, make it look good for the camera!”
Danelle started snapping photos like crazy.

Leeanne, Rodger, and William joined in, taking a bunch of shots too. They were not missing out on capturing a get–together this rare.
“Let’s dig in!” Everyone dove in, feasting with zero restraint.
They chatted and ate for a good half hour, and by the end, they’d managed to polish off most of the spread.
They would’ve loved to finish everything, but they were so stuffed that there was still some left over.
Everyone slumped back in their chairs, rubbing their bellies.
Rodger burped, tapped the holographic screen, and suddenly sat up. “Check this out. Myron’s showing off again!”
‘Where?” Danelle got up and asked.
Rodger expanded the holographic screen until it was the size of a 120–inch TV, so everyone could see the chat crystal clear.
Sure enough, the screen was flooded with messages from Myron and his brother, Mick.
Myron: [Rabbit meat. Check it out, salted and grilled!]
Mick: [We’ve got chicken too. Oh, and snake meat. All salted, so good!]
Myron: [We’re eating like kings today. Cheers!]
Mick: [Cheers!]
