Chapter 69
Danelle: [Oh my god, Leeanne, you’re amazing. Your work just made it into the top 400.

[Leeanne, your work is already in the top 300. This is insane, it’s climbing so fast. They say once you break into the top 500, the higher you go, the more eyes you get. It looks like it’s true.
[Look at that, the views are pouring in, we’re going viral.
[Oh my god, Leeanne, you’re already in the top 200. Wow, you’re rocketing up the charts!]
Leeanne finally realized her work had shot up all the way to 187th place.
She wondered, ‘How did things change so much in just two hours?
‘I haven’t even had time to come up with a plan, so who helped me out and solved the problem?‘
Leeanne was totally lost.
Danelle burst out laughing. [Wow, Leeanne, your work ID is 666888, right? You’re now at 177th place, just one spot ahead of Myron.
[He spent the whole afternoon grinding, barely moved up a few spots, and finally made it to 178th, only for you to blow past him like that.]
Rodger chimed in: [Too bad Myron doesn’t know yet. If he did, he’d probably explode!]
Danelle laughed even harder. [He’s probably already fuming. Ever since Leeanne’s work suddenly shot up, all the votes are going to her, and everyone else’s numbers are barely moving.]
Myron was fuming. Just two hours ago, his votes had been steadily ticking up slowly, but after a while, he’d manage to pass a Few people.
But in the last two hours, his rank had completely stalled, and he’d even slipped down a spot.
Frustrated, he pulled up the work of the person right ahead of him.
Myron pulled up the work of the person just ahead of him.
Work ID: 666888. Title: [Evening Chat by Stove]. Contestant: Hidden. District: Hidden.
Myron stared at it for ages, then let out a dismissive snort. ‘Seriously? Just a bunch of folks sipping coffee? All style, no substance. I’d take meat and booze over this any day! Why is everyone voting for this?
Honestly, he liked “Night’s End, Drinks Done” way better. That one had booze, meat, a brazier, a house, a bed, and even a couch, so much more impressive than whatever Leeanne was showing off
The more Myron looked, the more he scoffed.
Suddenly, Myron got a message from Mick. [Bro, we’ve dropped another spot!]
He checked and saw he was now at 179th place, while “Evening Chat by Stove,” which had just been one spot ahead, had managed to jump more than a dozen ranks in just a few minutes.
These people seriously have no taste, Myron fumed, getting even more pissed off.

Leeanne’s work kept shooting up the rankings, grabbing everyone’s attention. Her comment section was blowing up with messages from all over.
Danelle, Rodger, and William were glued to the comments, refreshing the page and reading every new message as it popped up.
A person wrote: [Whose work is this? The vibe is so poetic, now this is the good life!]
Another wrote: [I’m loving this whole scene. Just a few friends chilling by the fire, chatting away, totally laid–back. So jealous!]
Someone wrote: [Do people really live this comfortably? How’d they score all those snacks and fruit anyway?]
Someone else wrote: [There are ten districts in the mix, so of course, there are some geniuses. Just look at “Night’s End, Drinks Done” in fourth place, that one’s pretty awesome too!]
Just then, a comment popped up from someone named “I am Myron.”
I am Myron: [Seriously, what kind of vibe is this supposed to be? This is Survival on the Seas, not some high–end coffee lounge.
[Where’s the bedroom? Where’s the storage? All we get is a coffee room, how’s that supposed to show off a quality life? This person’s just trying to pull a fast one.
[If you want to see what real quality living looks like, check out Night’s End, Drinks Done!]
Danelle spotted it right away and said, “That’s definitely Myron. Only he could sound this salty!”
Rodger nodded. “Yeah, it’s gotta be him!”
Leeanne glanced at the comment and thought, ‘Myron’s not even trying to hide it. Even his username is so lazy.
I am not even gonna bother with him.”
Leeanne ignored all the nonsense in the comments and headed straight to the storage room. She grabbed her set of whip technique. Tomorrow was the Island Hunt, and she needed to be fully prepared.
Those people weren’t worth her time.
She’d been lucky with supplies, but her fighting ability wasn’t top–notch. The Island Hunt let players go after each other, so tomorrow would be a bloodbath.
Strength was everything.
[Do you want to learn the whip technique?]
Leeanne said, “Yes!”
A flash of white light, and the technique scroll vanished from her hands. Her vision blurred for a moment as a fortent of knowledge flooded her mind.
She instantly grasped every move of the whip technique, Without hesitation, she picked up her whip and gave it a gentle flick. With a crisp snap, the whip lashed out like a living serpent, striking the nearby fence.

With a loud crash, the sturdy fence came tumbling down, splintering all over the place.

Damn, I got careless. Didn’t think the whip packed such a punch, Leeanne thought, rushing over to the workbench to fix up the fence.
Good thing there weren’t any vines on this part, otherwise, she could’ve ended up damaging the Sea Demon Vine
Leeanne grabbed some wood and made a dozen or so stakes, then started lashing them with her whip.
The whip was insanely flexible and hit like a truck. In just a few moments, those stakes were smashed to pieces
She kept making new stakes and training with the whip. By around seven that evening, she’d finally mastered the entire technique.
Of course, she was always checking her ranking, even while she practiced.
Her rank was shooting up faster and faster.
Once Leeanne saw her spot was secure for now, she just shut off the status screen and got started on dinner.
Whenever she had a moment, she’d check her ranking and peek into the Assault Squad group chat, where Rodger and Danelle had already been chatting up a storm.
Danelle: [Wow, Leeanne, why aren’t you saying anything? You just made it into the top 100!]
Rodger: [Once you hit the top 100, you get way more exposure, and the views just skyrocket. Leeanne’s rank is gonna shoot up even faster now!]
