Myron gritted his teeth. “No, we have to save the Teleport Card…”

Mick was frantic. “Myron, Leeanne’s shooting at me. She… Ouch…”

He let out a sharp cry as Leeanne’s Arrow struck him squarely in the back.

He cried out again, “Myron!”

Myron was terrified, his heart pounding wildly. He stopped abruptly, letting Mick slide off his back. Blood was already pouring from Mick’s mouth, and his eyes were losing their light, growing vacant.

Myron cried out in terror, “Mick! Mick!”

Leeanne notched another trio of Arrows and fired them off without a second thought.

All three Arrows thudded into Myron’s thighs with sickening thumps, biting deep to the bone.

Myron howled in agony.

It wasn’t that Leeanne was avoiding his vitals. Myron was shielded by Mick, leaving her no choice but to aim for his thighs.

The pain was unbearable for Myron. He lost his grip, and Mick dropped to the ground.

With Mick out of the way, nothing was blocking Myron anymore.

At the same time, Leeanne heard a system notification.

[You have slain Mick Garcia. You have earned 20 points. Loot items?]

“Yes,” Leeanne said.

[You’ve acquired 5 iron, 5 bottled water, 5 bread rolls, 1 longsword…..]

Myron felt like his heart was being ripped apart, screaming in misery, “Mick, Mick… Oh, Leeanne!”

She quickly pulled out her Locating Card and used it to track Myron.

Leeanne frowned. Myron actually managed to get that far away in one go? So that’s what the Teleport Card can do

Someone mocked, “Then why did Myron keep going after Leeanne every day? He talked big all the time, but as soon as he saw her, he ran!”

Emmett sneered, “Exactly! A teleportation card! Talk about splurging.” He then clicked his tongue.

Danelle burst out laughing. “Maybe he pissed himself out of fear.”

On Local Chat, Myron suddenly shouted, “Leeanne, you killed my brother. I swear, this is a blood feud. I’ll hunt you down forever.”

Leeanne snorted. “You’re the one who got your brother killed. You knew I had a bow, but you still carried him on your back like a shield. Don’t tell me that wasn’t on purpose.”

Myron raged, “Leeanne!”

Leeanne sneered, “If you had used the Teleport Card just a few seconds earlier, your brother wouldn’t have died. But you chose not to. Guess a Teleport Card is worth more to you than your brother’s life.”

Myron was losing it. “No, it’s not like that. No!”

Leeanne shot back, “You know it deep down.”

Myron fell silent.

He hadn’t meant for it to happen, but every word Leeanne said cut straight to his heart, leaving him drowning in regret.

Yeah, why did I carry Mick on my back? And why didn’t I use the Teleport Card sooner?‘ Myron thought, regret tearing him up inside.

But the guilt only lasted a few seconds before his anger took over. ‘Wasn’t Leeanne the one who killed Mick?‘ he seethed inwardly. ‘It’s all Leeanne’s fault.‘

He snarled, “Leeanne, just you wait!”

Rodger clicked his tongue twice. “Seriously, Myron, give it a rest. Leeanne was right in front of you, and you bolted. What’s she supposed to do? Standing around waiting for you to come back?”

Danelle snorted, “Yeah, all talk, no guts. When push comes to shove, he’s the biggest chicken of all.”

Emmett, always loving the drama, jumped in, “Exactly! If he weren’t such a coward, his brother wouldn’t be dead.

Myron sat down in defeat, pulling a round wooden medallion from around his neck. The medallion had a hole punched clean through by the Arrow.

That medallion had taken the brunt of the Arrow. If not for it, he’d be a corpse right now.

His parents had given one to both him and Mick.

Just thinking about Mick made Myron cry loudly.

Three Arrows had pierced his legs to the bone, and the wound in his chest was pure agony. He lay sprawled on the ground, unable to stop moaning in pain.

Myron, consumed by pain and hatred, forced himself to sit up and yanked the three Arrows out of his legs Unable to hold back, he spat out more threats on Local Chat. “Leeanne, just wait! One day, I’m going to rip you apart!

“Is that so?” A voice suddenly rang out.

Myron was stunned. He looked up and saw Leeanne standing right in front of him, holding a spear.

Myron’s face went pale, and he shrank back in fear. “H–How did you get here?”

Leeanne gave a slight smile. I’m here to collect your corpse.”

With those final words, Leeanne thrust her spear forward. With a sickening thud, the blade plunged into Myron’s left chest.

Myron’s mouth gaped open as he gasped twice, a wet, rattling sound escaping his lips. His body went slack, and he crumpled to the ground.

Leeanne let out a long breath. He’s finally gone, she thought. Myron was ridiculously lucky. If I hadn’t had the Locating Card, he would’ve slipped away for sure.

She covered the 2 miles in just seven or eight minutes, sprinting the whole way.

“Yes,” Leeanne said.

Teleport Card? Leeanne grinned and snatched the Teleport Card out of her backpack.
