Leeanne took a closer look. This wheat was unusually tall, each reaching about three feet. The heads were almost twice as big as the common kind, golden, heavy, and so full they bent the stalks right over.

Most of the wheat was already ripe, with just a few ears still showing a hint of green.

Leeanne picked a ripe head, rolled it between her fingers, and the husk peeled away easily, revealing a handful of yellow grains.

She squeezed the grains a bit harder, crushing them, and a fine white powder dusted her fingertips.

She lifted her fingers to her nose and caught a whiff of that fresh wheat scent.

Not bad. This wheat is really excellent, Leeanne thought to herself.

She decided to start harvesting right away.

Suddenly, she felt a tickle on her leg.

Baabaacame a soft, delicate bleat from nearby.

Is that a sheep?Leeanne wondered.

She looked down and saw a tiny white creature in the wheat, rubbing its head against her left leg.

The little critter was really small, looking just a bit bigger than a Chihuahua. It was all snowy white, as if blanketed in a layer of fresh snow, and had two tiny bumps on its head. Those were likely its horns.

Isn’t this a lamb?Leeanne thought. It’s unbelievably small! Even newborn lambs aren’t usually this tiny.

Leeanne bent down and scooped the lamb up into her arms.

It was truly tiny, but what stood out the most were its eyes, a dazzling emerald green, as brilliant as gemstones. Yet, those beautiful eyes shimmered with an innocent, naive glow. It was utterly adorable.

BaabaaThe lamb gave Leeanne a gentle nudge with its tiny, budding horns, letting out another soft, baby bleat.

Its little legs wriggled a bit, and it stubbornly kept pushing its head downward.

What beautiful eyes this little lamb has, Leeanne thought.

Watching the lamb keep wriggling and stretching its mouth toward the wheat, it suddenly clicked for Leeanne. Oh, so you’re just hungry for some wheat,

Lambs do love wheat, don’t they? But this one is so tinyit probably hasn’t even been weaned yet, Leeanne mused. Could such a tiny mouth really manage a big, fullsized wheat head?

In the end, she picked a soft, green wheat head and offered it to the lamb.

The lamb nibbled away, and before long, it had finished the whole wheat head.

Yep, it really was hungry, Leeanne thought.

The lamb was so warm and soft in her arms that Leeanne absolutely adored it. She couldn’t help but cuddle it closer and feed it two more wheat heads.

Worried it might eat too much, Leeanne stopped feeding it and put the lamb aside. Then she grabbed her iron axe and started harvesting the wheat.

No sickle on hand, so the iron axe was all she had.

The lamb just stood there, looking all small, sweet, and absolutely adorable.

Before long, Leeanne had finished harvesting several patches of wheat.

She deliberately left the unripe wheat heads behind, planning to save them for the lamb.

But the lamb was just too short to reach them.

Leeanne, being thoughtful, gently bent the green wheat heads down so the lamb could easily nibble on them.

After finishing up, Leeanne gave the lamb a soft stroke and decided to leave.

Actually, she felt reluctant to leave. If this were just a normal island adventure, she would’ve totally taken the lamb with her. But with the hunt underway, lugging a lamb around would be a real hassle right now. And besides

Leeanne looked at the lamb. This little guy is so cute and tender. It’s practically making my mouth water! she thought. Better not let anyone snatch it up for a lamb roast.

Alright, I’m heading out now. You go play by yourself,Leeanne said, giving the lamb a lingering, affectionate pat, her heart heavy with reluctance.

She straightened up, then glanced down at those wide, innocent emerald eyes of the lamb, and honestly, her heart was a puddle. The cuteness was just too much.

After a moment’s thought, she took out two strawberries from her backpack.

Upon seeing the strawberries, the little lamb’s eyes lit up even brighter, and it started bleating excitedly.

Leeanne set the strawberries down in front of the lamb, then turned and walked away.

After walking a few steps, she glanced back and saw the lamb with its head down, munching on the strawberries. Its tiny mouth moved adorably, and its short ears wiggled along with each bite.

It’s just too cute for words. I really want to take it home, Leeanne thought to herself.

Leeanne finally tore herself away, her heart aching with reluctance.

After walking for about ten minutes, she came upon a patch of thick forest. To her surprise, there was a narrow path threading through the trees, with branches and leaves hanging so low overhead that it formed a tunnel barely three feet high.

This almost looks like the entrance to a cave, Leeanne thought as she stopped in her tracks.

Eyeing the tunnellike opening in the thick forest, Leeanne felt her curiosity itching to check it out

She’d come to this deserted island hoping to find all sorts of supplies, like that highyield wheat she’d just scored, so there was no way she’d pass up a spot that might have more goodies.

After thinking it over, she grabbed her spear, prodded the path ahead to make sure it was safe, and slowly stepped inside.

The dense canopy of intertwined branches blocked out the sunlight, casting a dir, shadowy light within the woods

Leeanne kept poking ahead with her spear, and after walking about ten yards, the space ahead suddenly widened out.

There were several banana trees, each heavy with clusters of goldenyellow bananas.

Not far from the banana trees, green vines snaked across the ground, dotted with big, bright yellow pumpkins.

Wow, bananas and pumpkins, Leeanne thought, her eyes sparkling with excitement. I knew it! There must be something good in a place like this, and sure enough!

The pumpkins are all ripe now. All I need to do is pick one, scoop out the seeds inside, and then I can plant more pumpkins.

And pumpkins are truly delicious. They can be steamed, stirfried, made into pumpkin pies, or even used to create savory pumpkin casseroles, and so much more. There are so many ways to enjoy them.

Leeanne was eager to give it a try.

But her excitement quickly cooled off.

Based on her experience, there was probably some beast lurking around here.

Moreover, when a gust of wind blew by, she caught a whiff of a foul odor.

There really is a beast here!Leeanne pondered for a second, then took a few steps back. She bent down, grabbed a stone, and chucked it hard at a pumpkin.

With a loud smack, the stone struck the pumpkin, making it wobble a bit.

Leeanne held her breath, eyes glued to the front, bracing for whatever might happen next.

Wait, nothing? Seriously? That can’t be right, Leeanne thought, feeling suspicious.

After a moment, she grabbed a bigger stone and chucked it at the banana tree.

With a loud thump, the banana tree shook violently this time, sending a cluster of overripe bananas teetering precariously on the verge of falling.

Still nothing? Leeanne was puzzled. Was I just being paranoid? Eh, might as well take a look.

Leeanne gripped her spear tightly and took a few cautious steps forward.

Her steps made a soft rustling sound on the fallen leaves.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted as the nearby branches shook violently. A monkey swung into view, clutching a branch and causing the foliage to tremble.

It landed right next to the banana tree, screeching in anger, its head darting around like it was searching for something

A chorus of sharp cries broke out as several monkeys swung into view, gripping branches and making the leaves shudder.

Most of them were grownups. When they stood up straight, they were about three feet tall, all crowding around the bananas and shrieking like crazy.

Leeanne noticed that all these monkeys were black, with glossy, slick fur, sharp teeth, and razorsharp claws. Their eyes, however, were round and golden, exuding fierce menace.

These guys look like trouble,’ Leeanne thought, feeling a bit nervous.

[GoldenEyed Blackleaf Monkey: Tier 2 mutant. Super aggressive. It will go after humans without a second thought. If you spot one, stay as far away as possible.]

Tier 2 mutant beasts?Leeanne thought, sucking in a sharp breath.

She’d barely managed to take down a single Tier 2 mutant beast before, and now there were a whole bunch of them. There was no way she could handle this many at once.

No way, I need to get out of here, fast!she thought.
