Chapter 87
Leeanne took a step back.
The sudden rustling of leaves under her feet caught the monkeys‘ attention, and they all turned to stare at her.
With a burst of screeches, they rushed straight at her at breakneck speed.
Leeanne quickly withdrew her spear and flicked her soft whip, landing a sharp crack right on the lead monkey.
The monkey let out a screech, scratched where it was hit, and barreled forward without slowing down.
The whip strike just left a faint mark on its body. The monkey wasn’t hurt at all.
Leeanne was alarmed. She swung her soft whip desperately as she retreated.
She had to retreat from the dense woods. This was the monkeys‘ territory, and they had the advantage here.

Leeanne snapped her soft whip, holding off three monkeys, but two more slipped through the undergrowth, attacking from both sides.
One of them swiped with its claws, making a “ripping” sound as it tore through Leeanne’s sleeves.
The other jumped up into a tree and launched itself down at her.
‘Crap!‘ Leeanne thought.
She quickly pulled out her dagger and slashed upward.
With a sharp slash, the blade cut through the monkey’s front leg.
The monkey screeched in pain, but instead of retreating, it snarled and charged at her even more aggressively.
This is bad!‘ Leeanne thought.
She quickly stepped back several paces, but monkeys were inherently agile, and these were particularly nimble and fierce. They closed in on her from five different directions, launching a coordinated attack.
Leeanne was barely holding on.
Another monkey suddenly launched itself from the treetops, diving straight for Leeanne’s head.
Leeanne was struggling to fend them off and even considered using her Teleport Card.
Suddenly, a small white figure dashed over, leaped into the air, reaching a height of about ten to twelve feet, and slammed headfirst into the diving monkey.
With a loud thud, the monkey was knocked far away, rolling across the ground several times.
It got up in a daze, just standing there dumbfounded.
“Baa…” A soft, childish bleat echoed as a little lamb suddenly leapt into Leeanne’s arms. It lowered its head and headbutted another monkey that was charging at her, sending it flying.
“Little lamb?” Leeanne exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with delight.

Chapter 87
It was the same little lamb she’d fed strawberries to earlier.

For such a tiny body, it was wild how much strength it packed, knocking the monkeys all over the place and scattering them everywhere.
Barely thirty seconds later, the monkeys were standing a short distance away, waving their arms and chattering angrily at Leeanne.
They were itching to rush forward, still eager for another round.
Seeing the little lamb looking exhausted, Leeanne wasn’t about to risk another fight. She grabbed it and made a quick exit from the woods.
Once she was out, she kept walking until she was well away from the trees, only then finally stopping to catch her breath.
The little lamb nuzzled her arm affectionately.
Leeanne stroked its soft wool. “Wow, little guy, you’re so amazing.”
ust earlier, it couldn’t even reach the wheat stalks, but now it was darting around and leaping everywhere, so quick and imble that it sent those Tier 2 mutant monkeys running for cover
It was way more useful than Little Blue, that good–for–nothing lazy bird, Leeanne thought.
ust thinking about Little Blue ticked Leeanne off. That bird is way too wild, she thought, always flying off here and there, and never around when I actually need it. Ugh, I never should’ve given that bird any strawberries
eeanne glanced at the little lamb, which kept nudging her. Seeing it looking droopy and worn out, she hurriedly took out a ew strawberries and asked, “Want some?”
Baa baa…” The lamb bleated excitedly and began munching on the strawberries
eeanne paused, weighing her options.
he was determined to snag those bananas and pumpkins, but her Strength alone wasn’t enough. Rodger and Danelle were till too far away to help.
The little lamb was a powerhouse, sure, but she barely knew anything about it, and right now, it looked totally wiped out. No vay it could jump back into a fight.
An idea struck Leeanne.
Maybe I should just ask someone for help, she thought.
All she really wanted were the pumpkin seeds and banana trees, and splitting some of the rewards wouldn’t be a big deal
No one can do it all alone, she thought. ‘Sometimes, working together is the way to go, win win for everyone
Gideon just now showed pretty good fighting skills. And we just parted ways, so they shouldn’t have gone too fan
But the problem is, I’m not really familiar with Kaelin!
After thinking it over, Leeanne messaged Emmett [There are bananas and pumpkins here. If you’re interestest, bring Gideon and help me fight off some monkeys]
Sure! Where Emmett replied instantly.

Leeanne sent him the coordinates
Emment replied. (I’m heading over now. Gideon’s off killing someone, but he’ll join us soon.]
Leeanne was speechless.
1 hope this Gideon isn’t some kind of maniac killer, she thought, a little freaked out.
She passed the time playing with the little lamb as she waited for the others to arrive.

After another seven or eight minutes. Emmett messaged her again. [Just a sec, I’m checking out something interesting. Hey, that’s Camelia.]
Leeanne replied. [What’s up with her?]
Emmett whispered in a voice message. “She bumped into Hale and Jocelyn again. She’s really something. No wonder she’s the archery champion.”
Leeanne noticed Emmett was talking quietly and asked, puzzled. “Why are you speaking so softly?”
Emmett lowered his voice even more. “Because I’m sneaking a peek at them…..
“Why are you still there? Aren’t you worried they’ll see you?” Leeanne asked.
“Shh, I can’t leave, or they’ll spot me. Oh, Leeanne, come save me!” Emmett whispered.
Leeanne was speechless, thinking. This fatty can’t fight to save his life, but he’s always chasing after drama‘
“And what do I get for saving you? Leeanne grumbled.
“Seriously? Are you still asking for benefits? Didn’t we already cooperate?” Emmett exclaimed, stunned.
“Cooperating doesn’t mean I have to rescue you.” Leeanne retorted, checking the map for Emmett’s location.
“Alright, Leeanne, just hurry up! I’ll give you some awesome seeds. It’s oat, oat seeds.” Emmett begged, sounding desperate.
Oat seed? Not bad Leeanne thought, her eyes lighting up.
Oat could be used for all kinds of tasty treats, like oat–based sweet pastries, chewy oat bars, oat–filled bean pockets, and also a dessert with mixed fruits and oats, along with oat pancakes… all of Leeanne’s favorites.
This trip is totally worth it, Leeanne thought to herself.
“Alright, I’m coming” Leeanne was already sprinting over, but she asked, “Emmett, didn’t you ask Gideon for help”
Honestly, if Emmett’s in trouble, he should’ve reached out to Gideon first, Leeanne thought.
Emmett whispered, “I messaged him a while ago, but he still hasn’t shown up”
Suddenly, Leeanne remembered something “Weren’t Hale and Jocelyn hurt? How do they still have the guts to mess with
Caelu
Yeah… but their wounds are already healed.” Emmett replied. Then, after a pause, he suddenly blurted out, “Healing salve? They must’ve scored some healing salve.
“And they’ve got weapons now, too. Man, looks like those two losers just hit a treasure chest.

Leeanne didn’t ask any further questions.
She was pretty close to Emmett. A quick run would get her there in seven or eight minutes, tops.
A few minutes later, Emmett suddenly shouted, “Oh no, Camelia’s hurt! That jerk actually set a trap, and she fell right into it She hurt her leg… Crap, they spotted me. Leeanne, help!”
Leeanne checked her map and saw a green dot speeding straight toward her.
She sprinted ahead and soon spotted Emmett, that round ball of a guy, leaping and dodging his way over.
‘He’s actually pretty nimble, Leeanne thought, a little surprised.
Emmett spotted Leeanne too and shouted, “Leeanne, run! There’s a whole crowd coming
An iron arrow zipped right past Emmett’s ear, and he let out a blood–curdling scream, “No!”
His scream was deafening.
Right behind him, someone was chasing, and it was none other than Hale.
