I sighed as everything came to an end. ‘Now we can go home, and things will be a bit better. I thought to myself. I felt Angela and Winter stir within me, but neither one of them said anything. Before I could ask, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I looked up to see the man who burst in when Roger went to attack me, looking at me. “Would you and your family come with us to the meeting room?” He asked. His eyes were kind and filled with longing.

Confused, I looked over towards Papa.

He was staring at the man before I saw his and Mother’s eyes glaze over. Turning my head to see the

Alpha King and Luna Queen were mind linking them. When their eyes cleared, they looked at me with the same care and affection Mother and Papa had looked at me with.

“Let’s head to the meeting room, little one.” Papa said as he came up behind me and placed his hand on my head. “There are things the King and Queen wish to address in private.” He said in a lower tone. I

nodded and started to follow the man.

Once we were settled into the meeting room, I looked around at everyone in attendance. Mother and Papa were on either side of me, with Willow next to Mother and Jason next to Papa. Luna Queen Melody sat at the other end of the table between Alpha King Luca and the other man. I finally guessed that he was one of her other mates as he lifted her hand to kiss it, and the alpha king didn’t even bat an eye at it.

So that meant he must be King Jeremiah of the vampires, since I had already met King Drake of the werebears. It was just the seven of us until there was a knock on the door. “Enter.” King Luca said. The door opened, and a beautiful woman with golden yellow eyes and sea blue hair appeared. The scent of herbs and lemons filled my nose as the woman turned to me with a kind smile.

“This is my Aunt Sabrina.” Luna Queen Melody said. Sabrina bowed her head in respect towards Mother and Papa after she had bowed to the Luna Queen first. “She is a white witch from my birth pack.” the Luna

explained.

“Why is she here?” I asked in confusion. The alpha king smiled at me. “Remember the talk we had with Tobias, your first night here? Sabrina can do a memory mind share so we can know why those vampires

have been after you.” He said, though from his tone it didn’t seem like it was the only reason.

“I am also going to take some of your blood to see how rare it is. If it is a rare type, then that could also bei another reason you are targeted.” Miss. Sabrina said with a smile. I could hear no lies in anything they

were saying, but for some reason, I felt like they were not telling me the whole truth.

“It will be alright, little one. Your Mother and I will never leave you, no matter what.” Papa said as he nuzzled my hair. Looking between him and my mother, I nodded and held out my arm. Smiling, Miss. Sabrina took out a foot–long syringe with about 6 inches of tubing at the tip. The needle was at the end of the tube. “I know it looks big, but it will allow me to take a good amount to do multiple tests without

having a bunch of small tubes in my bag.” She said.

I nodded and watched as she poked the needle through the skin and started to fill the syringe from the crook of my elbow. She filled the syringe halfway before putting a cotton ball over the needle and pulling it

out.

I held the cotton ball in place while I watched her pull the remaining blood from the tubing and into the syringe before taking off the tube and putting it in a plastic bin that doctors always put used needles in. Then she gently pumped the extra air out of the syringe before putting a cap on the end that the tube was

once connected to.

Then from her satchel bag, she pulled out a medical container and carefully placed the syringe inside after closing it up inside its own sealed bag. I was watching in confusion as to why she would go through all this trouble. “It is so there is no contamination, and I can get it safely back to my lab.” She said, answering my unasked questions. I guess she just saw the confusion on my face as I watched her.

She put everything within the medical container before returning it to her satchel. Miss Sabrina looked back at me and smiled. “Now we can do the memory mind share.” She said. I gulped a little nervously.” How would this memory mind share work?” I asked.

Miss. Sabrina smiled kindly at me. “It will allow everyone you wish to see a certain memory from your past. Even if your conscious mind can not remember every detail, your subconscious remembers everything with perfect detail.” she explained.

“So we would be seeing exactly what that vampire said when he grabbed me?” I asked. She nodded. “Yes. We will see everything you did that day. Think of it as looking at yourself in a home movie within a virtual reality headset.” she added.

I thought about it for a moment before I felt Jason grab my hand. “Don’t worry, sis. No matter what that vampire said back then, Dad and I will still protect you.” He said. I gave him a small smile and then nodded towards Miss. Sabrina. “Alright, I am ready. What do we need to do?” I asked.

Miss. Sabrina took out a small vial that had a misty purple liquid inside. “This is my witch essence. I will need three drops of your blood along with Queen Melody’s blood. That will give me enough power to pull multiple minds into this spell.” She said as she opened the vial and held it out to me.

I bit into my thumb and allowed three drops of my blood to fall into the vial before licking my finger to seal up my wound, Queen Melody didn’t even hesitate to bite into her finger to allow her blood to fall into the

vial.

Once she got the blood, Miss. Sabrina closed it and started to shake it while she chanted something in another language. It sounded like it was from a time long ago, but as she chanted, a bright white circle

started to form on the table.

Once it was complete, Miss Sabrina sat in the middle of it. “Now, everyone who is going to join us in the

memory mind share needs to gather around me and hold hands.” She instructed. I feel a nervous pit in my stomach as we all move closer to Miss. Sabrina and I held my hands out to Mother and Papa.
