Chapter 28: Finishing Up

Third Person POV:

Ben clutched his wrist in pain and dropped to his knees. His father had dug deep enough to hit an artery. He could feel his blood draining fast.

Derrick slammed into Park and with Kai’s assistance. They cuffed him and pinned him down.

Karisma felt the need to help. Angela pushed forward. ‘We can help him.’ She told Karisma. ‘How, Angela? How can we help him?‘ Angela knew that Karisma was not going to like it, but it was the only choice they

had to help Ben.

‘You have to use your fangs and bite him, then our saliva will have the healing enzymes to heal his wound.‘ Angela said. Strong and powerful Vampires could heal those they fed off of, but only when using their fangs. Just like how antibodies attack a virus, a vampire’s saliva could heal, but only if the vampire used their fangs.

It was not like vampires could heal anyone just by licking them. Their fangs had to be extended, and fresh

blood had to enter the mouth to allow the body to release the enzymes through the saliva.

Karisma hated biting people. She had only ever bitten Alpha Philip the night he found her. Though with

little time to think, she rushed forward and dropped to her knees in front of Ben. He was losing blood at an

alarming rate, so without asking for permission, Karisma allowed her vampire powers to come forward.

Angela is beside her in their mind. Karisma’s eyes turned blood red as her fangs extended past her lips.

She lunged forward and plunged her fangs into Ben’s injured wrist. Park laughed out coldly. “She could not

even wait until he is dead before feasting on him. That is the true nature of vampires.” he said.

Though when he looked around. He didn’t see concern or anything on their faces. It confused him. When

he turned back towards his son and Karisma. He saw that he was not fully feeding off him; she was almost drooling on his wrist.

Everywhere her saliva touched was healing, as if nothing had ever happened. Using her fangs allows her to

repair the tear in his blood vessels. When she released her bite, she licked along the seams of the cut to seal up the wound,

Once it was healed, she pulled herself away and took a step back. “Sorry for not getting your permission first, but your radial artery was damaged, and there was not a lot of time.” Karisma was interrupted when Ruby had barreled into her. Wrapping her arms around her tightly and squeezing hard. “Thank you. You saved my mate. Thank you so much.” Ruby said through tears that Karisma could feel falling on her shoulder.

Karisma couldn’t really speak much as Ruby was squeezing hard. Ben rose to his feet. A little dizzy from the loss of blood, but was able to stay standing. He reached over to put his hand on his mate’s back. Ruby, honey, you are squeezing too hard. She can’t breathe.” he told her.

Ruby instantly let Karisma go. Karisma could feel air rush back into her body as she smiled at Ruby and Ben. “I am glad I was able to help.” Victoria and Jeremiah both looked at one another before giving each

other a knowing nod.

Victoria had only seen healing like that with her grandmother and her mother. She knows that the records

of their kind say only strong and powerful vampires can do it, which is true to an extent. Powerful

vampires are only able to heal their mate and kin with their saliva, but the healing that Karisma just did for a werewolf of no relation to her… can only be done by a royal vampire.

Melody sighed in relief to see that Ben was alright. Then she turned a cold stare onto Park. “You would rather kill your own son instead of transferring your title over to him. You truly are the lowest of the low. I pity your wolf for being stuck with a human like you.” She spat. Park growled and tried to break out of Kai’s hold. “I should kill you where you stand, but that would be too easy a punishment for you.” She said as she

walked closer to him.

Kai held Park up so that he was kneeling before Melody. “I, Luna Queen Melody, hereby strip you, Beta Park Jones, of your title and rank of beta, and demote you down to the rank of omega.” Park jolted as if he was getting hit with a taser gun. “I also banish you from the Moonlight Rose pack and declare you a rogue from this point forward.” Park snarled at the thought of being a rogue in prison.

“Furthermore, your sentence in Blacktomb Maximum Security Prison within the Blacktomb pack in Alaska has now been increased from ten years to twenty–five years.”

Melody then went over to Roger, who was being held by Raven. “I, Luna Queen Melody, hereby strip you, Roger Baker, of your bloodline rank of gamma, and demote you down to the rank of omega.” Roger felt the shift go through him.

Then Melody looked up at Kai. “Get this filth out of my sight. I want them in Alaska within the next few hours. You and Riley are to personally escort them. I will sss Alpha Liam about their crimes and other

details.”

Kai and Riley both bowed their heads before taking Roger and Park out of the room. Melody then walked over to Ben. “Once you have had a day or two to rest and get back the blood Park had spilled, your new alpha can swear you in as the next beta,” She said, knowing that he was going to be a bit skittish to have

another claw near his wrist so soon.

Melody then turned to Raven. “Please escort Tessa to her new home in Arizona. I will also sss Alpha Oliver of the Wildlands pack about her case as well.” Raven nodded at her luna’s order and went over to gently put her hand on Tessa’s forearm.

Tessa jerked away, snarling at Raven. “Don’t fucking touch me.” Raven raised a brow before whipping her arm out and gripping Tessa’s wrist hard. “I am only giving you one chance, Tessa. We can do this in a civilized manner, or we can do it where I hog tie you and gag you for the entire trip. Which would you prefer?” Raven asked as she squeezed a little harder on the wrist in her grasp.

Tessa winced and knew that Raven would do as she promised. “Alright. Alright. I will behave. Now, please let go, you are going to break my wrist.” She whined. Raven let go, and Tessa fell on her butt as she was
