Chapter 31: Memory Mind Share (Part 2)

Karisma’s POV (Age 7)

Classes are normal for the most part. I am still wondering what the uneasy feeling I was getting earlier

was. It is about an hour before lunchtime. I finished up my math worksheet and had just sat down in the

corner to read while everyone else was finishing up.

My bad feeling increased as the sun got lost behind thick, dark clouds. I was never a big fan of storms,

and I am starting to wish that I had stayed home today.

All of a sudden, the pack alarms are blaring to life. Red lights are flashing everywhere. The pack is under

attack. I am looking for Willow and then remember that she is still home with food poisoning. I run to the

door leading to the safe room with the other kids, but the shattering glass from behind us makes me turn.

Two filthy pale men with blood red eyes are standing in the room. Our teacher, Mrs Clark, was about to hit the panic button when one of the men moved so fast that I couldn’t even see it. His hand went around her throat before he bit down on her neck. The other man grabbed her arm and bit her there.

The smell of blood filled the air as I watched our teacher scream and struggle. The kids were still moving past me as I stood there frozen. One of the warrior’s sons, Tony, tried to pull me in with him, but he lost his grip on my arm when Kailey ran into him, making them both fall inside the safe room.

I noticed that they were all in the doorway, so I slammed the door closed before the men could get near it. Once it was closed, it could only be opened with a code that only the Alpha and his ranked members had.

It didn’t seem like they saw me yet.

I crawled on my hands and knees around to get to the panic button. I had to lock them inside here so that Papa could deal with them. The smell of blood made me feel dizzy. My mouth watered at the sweet scent,

but it also scared me because it was coming from my teacher.

I hissed as pain ran through my hands. I was so focused on where the men were that I didn’t even notice that some glass from the window had come so far across the room. As soon as I picked up my hands, I

saw deep cuts in both of my palms,

Then a large pale hand wrapped around my wrist and yanked me out from under the table. I whimpered in

pain as the grip was really tight. It felt like he was breaking my bones. I looked up into his blood red eyes. Kraljesko rat(Royal blood). The man snarled as he brought my palm up to his nose and inhaled so deeply that he looked like he was getting high off of it.

Angela snarled within my mind as she pushed forward. I tried with all my might to get away from him. I clawed at his hands and arms while kicking him in the stomach, but he was solid. The other man had dropped Mrs Clark’s body on the ground. She wasn’t moving.

He came over and snatched me out of the first one’s grip. Trubul te ingras la ko generalo. Vov kamlov te avel čordo jekh kasavo prizo katar jekh čorro ruvengo ćororo.” (We should take her to the general. He would want such a prize to be stolen from a filthy wolf pack.) He snarled as the first man tried to grab me

again.

The second one ripped Mrs Clark’s shirt and wrapped my hands up before tying them together with the fabric. I winced at how tightly he tied the knot. Then they jumped out of the window and started running

towards the tree line.

I screamed as loud as I could until the man carrying me ripped off one of my pant legs and stuffed the fabric into my mouth. I felt like I was going to choke on it. I felt my heart pounding as we got closer and

closer to the trees.

Angela came forward a bit. Use our claws to scratch at them.’ She said. I tried to extend them, but he had

wrapped my hands so tight that I could barely feel my fingers anymore. I whimpered and started to cry in both fright and frustration.

All of a sudden, a loud snarl was heard from behind us. Before the one man that was standing next to us

could turn, a giant light grey wolf came from behind and tackled him to the ground. Then the man who

was holding me was hit from behind as well.

I grunted as I dropped to the ground and rolled a bit away. My head was spinning as I tried to sit up. I saw

another pale man standing in under the shadows of the trees. His red eyes landed on me before his body

faded into the darkness.

Snarls and growls grabbed my attention, and I slowly rolled over to face the direction the men were carrying me from. Blood splattered on my face as I saw Papa’s wolf ripping the man who was carrying me

to shreds.

I sniffed as I still had the fabric from my pant leg in my mouth. Papa’s wolf, Falcon, froze as his ears twitched. Looking around himself to make sure there was no threat, he rushed over to me and curled his big, fluffy body around mine.

He whimpered and snarled before I felt his body changing. The thick brown fur began to thin and disappear, and then I was wrapped up in Papa’s strong arms. Oh, my little one. It is alright now. Papa is here. Papa will take care of you.I whimpered again as I melted into his body. Feeling safe once more. I let

everything fade to black.

Third Person POV

Just as everything fell into darkness, something ran through Karisma’s thoughts.

Memories that she thought were buried deep within her mind came flooding to the surface, taking over

the memory mind share magic.

Everyone was suddenly in the forest under a clear sky, with the moon and stars being the only light. They all watched as a figure ran through the woods. Melody, Luca, and Jeremiah all stiffened at the sight in front of them.

A man ran through the forest, holding a small bundle in his arms. I guess the boy gets to live a little longer, but this girl dies tonight. He said to himself as he ran. Luca and Jeremiah both growled as they

watched him.
