Chapter 135
Hayley gave a half-smile. “Don’t worry. You’ll get the best treatment. Stick with me, and you’ll have meat at every meal. ”
“Does your base have women? Oh, wait, I mean, how many people are in your base?” Criffin asked.
Hayley paused, speechless.
This guy really was exactly like the rumors said!
“Just me and Leonard, the guy outside,” she said.
“Just you two?” Griffin touched his chin. His one human eye glinted strangely before he grinned. “He’s not your boyfriend, right?” 1
“No,” Hayley replied.
“Alright, then. I’ll join you,” Griffin said.
Immediately, Hayley’s mind pinged with a notification.
Ding! [One base guard (temporary) detected!
[Reward: +100 points! Base new guard loyalty below 60; special attributes cannot be unlocked!]
Hayley stared in shock. This was the first time she had seen the “temporary” notification. She opened Griffin’s status panel.
A line of white numbers appeared.
[Loyalty: 59! (Starting loyalty 19, system added 40!)]
What?
His starting loyalty was only 19! Even with the system’s 40-point boost, he still didn’t reach the 60-point threshold.
Damn, this guy was a walking disaster.
In the panel next to it, Leonard’s loyalty was already maxed out at 100, purple level. Leonard started at 70, and the system added 40, which made his loyalty exceed 100.
After 100, loyalty had three color tiers: red, purple, and gold.
Red stood for Blazing Devotion, purple was Unbreakable Oath, and gold meant Eternal Bond.
Griffin’s loyalty was only 59, which wasn’t even enough to unlock his special ability.
Hayley wanted to strangle this natural born troublemaker who clearly intended to betray her
Nobody in their right mind would keep this person.
