Chapter 137
Griffin’s eyes lit up as he looked at the massive factory in front of him.
Taking down a place this big really showed serious skill.
The last time Hayley and Leonard had been here, besides digging out the zombie crystal cores, they had also rounded up the zombie corpses and burned them all.
This whole area was actually pretty clean now.
Hayley told Leonard to park near the dorm building.
“Pick any floor you want. Stay wherever you like. And don’t worry about zombies. It’s not like they’re gonna bite you.”
Griffin let out a little chuckle. “Alright, Captain Gorgeous. I’ll pick my own room.”
After Griffin left, Leonard frowned harder as he watched the sly man walk off. “Boss, that guy isn’t trustworthy.”
As a former soldier, Leonard could sense the unstable energy around Griffin immediately. He knew Griffin definitely wasn’t a good guy.
“I know,” Hayley said as she followed him inside. “That’s why I brought him here.”
Griffin wasn’t a good person, and neither was Hayley. 1
She couldn’t risk taking such a dangerous wildcard straight to the base!
It was better to keep him outside for now and boost his loyalty a bit.
Someone with a loyalty of 19 coming to her was basically aiming to betray her. That kind of person wasn’t reliable.
Leonard nodded thoughtfully. Hayley’s logic made sense.
“What about the base while we’re out here?”
“Hayz can handle it.”
Hayz could manage the base perfectly. Even the dogs could be fed using drones.
Hayley could stay out for a few days and return later without any problems
Leonard didn’t question it. He followed Hayley into the dorm building, and they each picked a clean room, clasining it as their
temporary territory.
Six dogs followed Leonard into his room.
As soon as they settled, Griffin’s voice rang out from outside.
“Captain Gorgeous.”
“What is it?”
“Is it time for lunch?”
“Yeah, sure. Go get us food,” Hayley told Leonard.
He brought out some reserve food from the car.
Griffin looked at the modest supplies. “This is all we’ve got?”
Hayley raised an eyebrow. “What do you think?”
Chapter 123
“As long as there’s enough, I’m good,” Griffin said with a grin. “But I know there’s a place nearby with plenty of supplies.”
“Where?”
“About five miles east, there’s a three-story development district supermarket.”
Hayley nodded. “Alright, we’ll go there tomorrow.”
Collecting supplies was an ongoing task. Since they were already in the area, they might as well expand the map.
