As the system rewards landed, Hayley’s base got another massive upgrade.

The electrified wire fences and gates doubled in height and hickness, giving an intense sense of security. Above her bunker, a tower-shaped arrow platform emerged. Her inventory now held 1,000 tons of fuel and a gorgeous, top-of-the-line armored vehicle!

Hayley deployed the armored vehicle first. The camo-painted beast gleamed in the sunlight, looking cold, hard, and seriously intimidating.

She hopped in to take it for a spin.

She had driven military vehicles plenty in her last life, so armored cars weren’t new, but she had never driven anything this advanced. It had high off-road performance, maximum protection, and firepower support-it even had a small-caliber flamethrower turret, powered directly by the fuel supply.

The system-enhanced tires were tougher than tracked steel plates, and the vehicle was fast and responsive. Its body was a hundred times stronger than ordinary armored cars.

Hidden panels surrounded the cabin, and with one button, the entire vehicle became an impenetrable fortress.

Hayley could charge through zombie hordes with this thing and come out unscathed.

This was, without question, the ultimate armored vehicle!

“Good baby,” she muttered, grinning as she drove it in a loop, familiarizing herself with every feature before reluctantly stepping out.

From there, she headed straight to her tower.

Inside her bunker, she had built a second-floor staircase leading up to the new precision bow-and-arrow tower. Eight long windows created perfect sniper lines, covering every inch of the half-mile radius around her bunker.

In the center of the tower sat a 360-degree rotating precision crossbow, with ten baskets of short arrows neatly stacked nearby-each basket holding a hundred steel-tippet, barbed wooden arrows.

Hayley nocked an arrow and aimed at a bird flying inside her domain.

Whoosh!

The short arrow cut through the air.

Pfft!

A bird perched at the edge of her bunker dropped straight to the ground.

Hayley ran over with Summer to inspect the kill. The bird was gone, lifeless, with the short arrow piercing it perfectly from end to end.

“It’s almost silent with crazy penetration power-this is the perfect apocalypse weapon,” she muttered to herself.
