Hayley’s strength was absolutely insane.
At that moment, Liam noticed people constantly going in and out of the last villa. Every time they came out, they were carryin something in their hands.
“What’s that place…?” he asked.
“Better not go over there. It’ll just mess with your head if you see it,” Hayley said.
Just then, a soft little girl came running over with about two pounds of meat in her arms. “Ms. Reid, my family bought more meat Come have dinner at our place later. My mom’s making glazed pork belly for you.”
Hayley pinched Cloudia’s cheek. “Tell your mom to make a couple more dishes. I’ve got guests.”
“Then I’ll go buy even more meat. It’s my treat!” Cloudia pitter-pattered back toward the villa.
Liam stared in disbelief. “You have a supply store in your base? And it even sells fresh pork?”
“Yeah, that’s why I didn’t want you to see it. Saves you from feeling jealous.”
Liam and Milo fell silent.
Inwardly, the two of them hit rock bottom.
Hayley’s base had tens of thousands of acres of farmland, industrial food plants, livestock, and even a supply store that sold fresh meat. It had solid defenses and a complete trading system.
Compared to hers, their bases looked like primitive villages.
There was no comparison at all.
Just how strong was she?
Cloudia’s family warmly welcomed all three of them to dinner.
Kate really showed off her skills, laying out a wide spread, with drinks on the side.
It was the first time since the apocalypse that Liam and Milo had seen such a lavish meal. Scrambled eggs, glazed pork belly chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes, and grilled zucchini.
The dishes were simple, but every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh.
The zucchini caught them off guard. Now, stuff that fresh usually only came from expensive gwenhouse tartus. You coul just find it anywhere.
Even Liam, who occasionally got to eat at Hayley’s place, telt like every bite had to be treasured
“You really don’t have to go out of your way for us just eat what you normally eat,” Etam said, staring at the full table
Cloudia ulted her head “This is what we normally eat”
“Ahem “Hayley cleared her throat “Tone it down a little Don’t state our guests
Lam and Milo had no words
After the meal, both of them were completely conquered by Hayley’s hengthe
As night fell, they watched residents finish work in small groups and load fremme for dinner, greeting Hayley cheerfully along

This kind of warmth and abundance didn’t exist in their bases.
Honestly speaking, in the apocalypse, only Hayley could pull something like this off.
“Don’t feel too bad. You’re way behind compared to me, but you’re still better than most other bases. As long as you don’t compare yourselves to me, you’re top-tier in everyone else’s eyes.”
