Chapter 281
So far, Hayley had barely encountered any mutated zombies. Early-stage mutated zombies were just as rare as the Gifted. It was only as time passed that zombies began to evolve across the board.
There were about 100 ordinary zombies qutside. She planned to set a trap and wipe them out in one go. The only thing she couldn’t be sure about was how many more zombies might still be out there.
At that moment, Bradley spoke up. “Hey! I think there’s another way out!”
He patted the wall beside him and found a section that sounded hollow when he knocked on it.
“This basement connects to the underground parking garage behind the mall! My dad worked on this mall project. I’ve been here with him before. Behind this is the parking garage!”
Hayley’s eyes lit up when she heard that.
She walked over to the wall Bradley pointed out and knocked on it herself. Sure enough, it sounded hollow.
This wasn’t a reinforced concrete load-bearing wall. It was a partition wall added later.
She released her mental gifts to sense what was on the other side. Right now, her mental gifts could detect about 100 feet out.
Behind the wall, it was empty. No people. No zombies.
She turned to the people behind her. “Move back.”
All the students quickly stepped aside.
Right in front of their eyes, they heard a loud boom.
The brick wall in front of them was kicked straight through, leaving a huge hole.
Everyone was stunned.
Even if it wasn’t reinforced concrete, it was still a brick wall!/
But one kick by Hayley, and it was gone.
They had all been thinking they might need to take turns smashing the wall.
Every single one of them stared at Hayley in shock, completely speechless.
“Sh-she’s incredible.”
“Is she a mutant, too?”
“Of course she is! She has inventory variant gifts. She’s got to be one of those strength enhanced types trom novels!”
“That’s insane!”
“She’s so cool!”
“Stick with her! If we follow her, we’ll definitely get out!”
While they were talking, Hayley had already carried Griffin through the opening and gone ahead.
They saw that it was still pitch black outside One by one, they squeezed through the hole just wide enough for a person and hurried after Hayley.
It was dark in here, and the parking lot was huge
When the flashlight swept across the space, all they could see were rows of massive support pillars and a few cars parked inside,

all covered in thick layers of dust.
Hayley stopped beside a car and shone her flashlight inside.
Not only was the outside covered in dust, but the inside was, too. Even the little dashboard figurines were coated in gray.
Nobody knew how long it had been parked there.
“It won’t run anymore. This car’s junk,” Griffin said from her shoulder.
