Chapter 299

Russell’s face immediately darkened with anger. “You hit Mandy? Do you even know who I…”

Smack!

Before Russell could finish, he took a hard slap straight to the face.

Hayley had always been the type to act first and talk later. If she could solve it with her hands, she wouldn’t waste words.

Russell froze for a second, stunned by the slap, then his blood rushed to his head.

“How dare you!”

Smack! Another solid slap landed.

“Do you know who I am? Hitting us means you’re picking a fight with Ironlock Base!” he snarled.

“Oh? Ironlock Base?” Hayley raised a brow with mock fear. “I’m terrified. Then let’s fight it out to the end.”

Smack!

That slap sent Russell flying.

He was completely dazed. With a loud crash, he slammed into the wall of Scarlett’s courtyard.

When he hit the ground, Hayley stepped on his chest and looked down at him lazily. “Go on. Tell me what else you want to say now.”

His face swollen from the slaps, Russell still looked unwilling to give in. He gritted his teeth. “You mess with me, you’re messing with Hope Base!”

Just then, voices came from outside.

“If they’re still not done, I’m leaving.”

The moment Mandy heard that cold voice, she screamed desperately, “Alex! We’re here! Help us, please!”

Hearing the shout, the people outside rushed over.

ľ

Seeing reinforcements arrive, especially Alex, Mandy immediately burst into tears.

“Alex, someone’s trying to kill my brother and me! I told them we’re from Ironlock Base, and that we’re allied with Hope Base. If they don’t respect us, fine, but disrespecting Hope Base is crossing the line! Russell and I just argued with them a bit, and they beat us up. They even said they’d kill us!”

Hearing such a dramatic story, Hayley turned to Griffin. “Is she trained in acting?”

Griffin’s lips curved into a pleased smile. “I’ve always thought so. It’s a waste they’re not on a stage.”

“Alex! Did you hear that? They’re still slandering us!” Mandy cried even harder. “You have to stand up for us!”

Anyone would feel sorry seeing such a beautiful girl cry like that.

Mandy was certain Alex would back her up.

They had just reached a preliminary cooperation with Hope Base and even formed a friendly alliance. She was about to become
