Chapter 302
Because of Hayley’s absolutely ruthless move, Russell was instantly left almost defenseless.
Only Mandy, Sabrina, and a single loyal guard remained with him.
He didn’t dare confront Hayley, so he could only glare viciously at the defectors and roar at them.
“You traitors with no loyalty! Karma will come for you! What goes around comes around. One day, I swear you will crawl back to our base like dogs! When that day comes, don’t even think about begging me to take you in!”
At that moment, Sabrina spoke up timidly. “I… I want to stay, too. Is that okay?”
Russell couldn’t take it anymore and slapped her. Then, he grabbed her and fled in humiliation with Mandy and the last guard.
“Wait,” Hayley called out again.
The moment Russell heard her voice, his whole body tensed. “Don’t push your luck! You already took all my guards. What else do you want?”
“I’ve forgiven you,” Hayley said calmly, “but my guy here hasn’t.”
She dragged Griffin forward.
“Apologize to him. When he forgives you, you can leave.”
The moment Griffin heard that, his entire face lit up. He looked down at the girl standing ten inches shorter than him, his smile growing brighter by the second.
Russell and the others looked like they had been asked to lick a toilet bowl.
They were being forced to apologize to someone they had once trampled on and humiliated without mercy.
“Don’t waste time. You only get one chance,” Hayley warned.
“I’ll apologize!” Mandy blurted out first. “G-Griffin, I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have insulted you or said all those awful things. I’m the one who’s trash, not you! I take it all back. Please forgive me. Let me go!”
Sabrina’s eyes flickered as she quickly followed. “Griffin, I was wrong, too. I shouldn’t have looked down on you or joined Mandy in humiliating you. That was my fault. I won’t ever do it again. Please forgive me.”
The most humiliated one was Russell.
He was a legitimate Cook heir, and today, he had to apologize to someone born from an affair. Talk about tables turning
“Griffin, I’m sorry,” Russell said through clenched teeth. “I shouldn’t have mocked you or joined in bullying you. Our whole family was wrong. For our father’s sake, please let us go this once.”
“Alright. Go,” Griffin said, the dark hostility on his face fading as he waved them off.
“That’s it? You feel better already?” Hayley asked.
Griffin smiled at her. “Yeah.”
In truth, he hadn’t even heard most of what they said. From the very beginning, he had never cared about them.
What he cared about was what Hayley was doing. And how to cooperate with her, to act exactly the way she wanted to see
“Thank you, Captain Gorgeous. I’m really happy.”
Hayley stared at Griffin, who looked incredibly sincere “You appreciate what I did?”

“Of course.”
Hayley paused. “I don’t know why, but l’in not convinced.”
Griffin’s smile grew even brighter. “Gratitude stays in the heart. I’ve kept it there. You’ll see it in my actions later.”
The problem was, there was nothing on that loyalty progress bar at all 2
