Chapter 314
“Wow, that’s insane!” a slightly soft male voice exclaimed. “Vic, look! They’re all so strong!”
Before his words even settled, a mocking voice cut in. It was Daniel. “Todd, can you shot up a little? You’re yelling like a sissy. Don’t you feel embarrassed?”
“You shut up! Don’t you dare criticize my brother the burly Victor snapped, clearly annoyed.
“I’m saying this for your own good! Victor, you always shield him. If you die one day, who’s going to protect him then? With how useless he is, he won’t last three days!”
“Damn you!” Victor exploded.
“That’s enough. Stop it! This isn’t our vehicle!” Jim rushed in to smooth things over, then apologized to the people in the front seats.
“We have to stick together. There aren’t many of us left. Let’s just survive this and stop fighting.”
Victor and Daniel both quieted down.
Just then, Bridget suddenly screamed, “Honey!”
Right in front of Hayley’s vehicle, a massive zombie over six feet tall charged out. Its arms were chewed to shreds.
Bang!
Hayley didn’t hesitate. The armored vehicle slammed straight into it, sending it flying. One arm got snagged on a tree.
Bridget immediately lunged toward the window, screaming hysterically, “Honey! Honey!”
“Bridget, don’t do this. George has been gone for a long time. That’s not him,” Jim said, trying to placate her.
“No! That’s my husband! Oh, George… Sniff…”
“Jim,” another man said anxiously. “Look, that’s Tom and the others. They’ve all turned into zombies.”
“Jim, I’m scared,” Sophie said, clinging tightly to Jim’s arm, clearly hoping he would comfort her as well.
Hayley suddenly felt like she understood why Jim had turned into a lone wolf in her previous life. He was practically leading a daycare group!
Not long after, a lodge-style villa appeared ahead.
The vehicle stopped in place for a moment, deliberately drawing in all the nearby zombies. The armored car crushed them one by one
“There are cars there You can get off here.”
Once the area was clear, Hayley had no intention of dragging these people along any farther
