Chapter 341
Hayley looked at the cart and saw that only two children were left. They looked four or five years old, small and thin, but well- behaved.
“I’m sure he’ll accept your children.”
The woman clutched the handle of the cart and burst into tears.
“No! He doesn’t like them. That day, he hit me. He dragged me by the hair to the hospital and said I embarrassed him. He said if I didn’t abort the babies, I wouldn’t be his daughter anymore. He kicked my stomach. It hurt so badly. He hit me, too. He’ll never want my children!”
Hearing this, Hayley felt a sudden tight pain in her chest. “Why did he hit you? Where’s the children’s father?”
“Their father ran away. My dad beat him and chased him off. My dad dragged me to his house, and his mom said I could just marry him. My dad said they should pay for the wedding, but they said no. They said I already had kids anyway, so it wasn’t like I had any other choice. My dad got furious and fought with them. He beat the children’s father so badly that he ran away.”
Hayley frowned deeply. “What happened after that?”
“After that, my dad was arrested by the police. I cried and begged them. I said I didn’t want the babies anymore, just give my dad back to me. Then the doctors took me away.”
Hayley looked at the mentally unstable young woman in front of her and sighed.
She more or less understood the woman’s past.
The woman was young and ignorant, and her irresponsible boyfriend got her pregnant. His family was cruel, using her pregnancy to pressure and mistreat her.
Her father had a bad temper and completely lost it, then the boyfriend’s family called the cops on him and got him locked up.
Her baby probably didn’t survive. She was so traumatized that she lost her mind. That was likely why she treated so many children as if they were her own.
“Has my dad really forgiven me?” the woman asked, gripping Hayley’s hand tightly and looking at her with caution.
“Yes.” Hayley nodded. “He’s coming to pick you up soon.”
“Then my children… Will he like them, too?”
“Yes. He told me he likes all of your children.”
The woman immediately stood up in delight, pacing in place twice.
She turned back to Hayley and said, “Dr. Corbyn, my dad’s name is Patrick Sanders. He builds skyscrapers. He always wears jeans and a black T-shirt. He’s really dirty and very short. Not even as tall as me! And he’s super skinny. Don’t mix him up with someone else!”
“Okay. I’ll remember.”
“Babies, babies, your grandpa’s coming! Later, you have to behave Don’t make him angry”
Just then, the woman suddenly seemed to hear something. She grabbed the two children and stared toward the end of the hallway in panic.
“Oh, no! Dr. Corbyn, it’s here!”
She instantly became frantic, stuffing the children into the cart and pushing it forward as she ran.
Hayley’s expression changed. “What are you doing!”

“It’s here! It’s here! It’s here! It’s going to eat my children!” the woitran screamed, shoving the cart toward the nearest room like stre had lost her mind.
Hayley felt something was wrong. She followed the direction the woman had been staring. Suddenly, she saw a mutated conjoined zombie crawling out at the corner of the hallway ahead. It had two heads, four arms, and two legs.
All six limbs hit the ground at once. It skittered forward like a giant spider, moving fast. Behind it came a massive group of child zombies, all around five or six years old.
In an instant, a skin-crawling wave of zombies surged toward them.
Hayley was grabbed by the hand and yanked hard into a nearby room.
