Chapter 362
“Send me all the data on Milky Way Base,” Hayley said.
An armored vehicle sped down an empty road.
After six months of support from Liam and the others, not only had they managed to keep 27 small bases alive, they had also reopened the roads between bases.
If you want to survive well, you fix the roads first.
Hayley’s vehicle raced forward without obstruction.
A thick stack of files was handed to her.
Hayley began reading the reports carefully.
Milky Way Base sat on the outskirts of Brookville. Before the apocalypse, it had been a large suburban amusement park with roads leading in every direction.
Brookville’s subway system had even extended one line so that its final stop was right here.
Before the apocalypse, this place was a well-known attraction. And when everything collapsed, it was summer vacation, which was peak season for visitors.
As a result, a large portion of Milky Way Base’s survivors had been tourists.
Those staying in nearby hotels and vacation rentals had all chosen the amusement park as their gathering point.
The park had basic perimeter fencing, wide open terrain, plenty of places to hide, and access to food and drinks. It really was a good choice.
The only problem was that its location was too good.
Most of Brookville’s main roads led straight here. When the city’s zombie tide spilled outward, this place
was the first stop.
The fact that Milky Way Base was still standing was all thanks to Haylight League’s support.
Without that support, it would’ve been gone long ago.
By the time Hayley’s armored vehicle arrived, it was already evening.
Through the window, she saw the amusement park ahead, black silhouettes under a blood-red sunset. Inside, shapes packed together densely, looking as lively as a pre-apocalypse weekend crowd.
Corpses stacked like hills. The dead were swarming in every direction.
It was practically a horror park!
Fifteen minutes later, a thunderous explosion tore through the northwest corner of the amusement park.

“Raarh’ Raarh
The zombies that had been converging toward the center suddenly went berserk, surging in massive waves toward the northwest corner.
Not long after, one mine explosion after another echoed from that direction.
When roughly 70% of the zombies were drawn away by the blasts, a team rushed in from the southeast
corner.
“They dug tunnels under the service center, right?”
“Right.”
Their main activity zone was the central service center, and they had dug a basement beneath it.
In a situation like this, that was exactly where they would hide.
Hayley vaulted the fence and charged straight into the core service center area. The moment she stepped inside, she was met by a zombie in an employee jumpsuit, its stomach split wide open.
