The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 402

Chapter 402

Hayley stayed busy until early July before finally locking down the overall direction of the league, both internally and externally.

With internal affairs settled, what stood in front of her now were Brookville and Crestford outside of Aecraton.

On her computer screen, the purple-red zones surrounding the small white dots kept deepening in coler

That meant the zombie tides in Brookville and Crestford were about to erupt.

“Hayley! Milo just sent a message.”

Liam stepped up to Hayley, carrying some urgent news.

“Hey, Hayley. Scott’s been out of contact for three days. A massive wave of zombies is spreading outward from Crestford. If we don’t pull him out now, we’ll have to prepare for a full retreat. So what is it? Are we pulling him or not?”

After listening to Milo’s message, Hayley asked calmly, “Where was their last signal?”

“At Crestford Wetlands Park.”

Hayley opened the map. Crestford Wetlands Park was enormous, practically an uninhabited zone. But the zombies on the outskirts were completely packed in.

Huge swaths of purple-red surrounded the wetlands from all sides.

If Milo didn’t give Scott a hand, there was no way he was getting out.

Seeing this, Hayley smiled slightly. “We’ll pull back a bit, but not too far. After all, they’re our allies.”

Scott’s position was perfect. He could attract a massive number of zombies for them and still wouldn’t die too quickly.

Just then, a gentle yet chilling voice suddenly came through the radio.

“Captain Reid, if you really consider us allies, then come support us. Pulling back now is the same as abandoning us.

Hayley stayed silent.

She turned to look at Liam.

Liam casually shut off the radio and said slowly, “I had no idea they were listening in.”

Hayley rolled her eyes.

Right then, she made up her mind to build a local network.

Radios had zero security!

That jerk Scott was clearly leaving his radio on all day, tuned straight to her channel, listening anytime and anywhere

“Send the signal to Scott We’ll save him. I’m going personally. ”

Liam froze mid adjustineat on the dial when he heard that “But they’re in the center of the unbig tube Are you going all the way to Milo’s location to rescue them?”

“Why make it that complicated? I’ve got a helicopter”

Ligan’s eyes went wide.

That afternoon, a helicopter lifted off from the open ground in front of the Aecraton shelter, heading straight for Crestford Wetlands Park.

On board were Hayley, Griffin, and Leonard

No one else came along.

Liam stared in shock as he watched Hayley fly off in a helicopter. He didn’t even have a helicopter himself. Where the hell did she get one?

Hayley had already done the math. She would fly over in a helicopter to rescue Scott.

But the helicopter could carry at most five people. She and her people took up three seats, which meant she could only save two people per trip.

Scott had around 800 people with him.

By the time her helicopter made trip after trip… Yeah, that would probably take forever

Hayley wanted Scott to hold the front line and burn through zombies for them.

But Scott wasn’t stupid. After overhearing her earlier, he would definitely turn of them if she didn’t offer some real help

So Hayley planned to put on the best show possible.

The helicopter arrived above the wetlands park.
