Chapter 516
Wearing her green mask, Hayley moved through Ark Two like a god walking among mortals.
No matter which zone she passed through, people bowed, avoided her gaze, and treated her with a mix of fear and
reverence.
After asking around a few times, she quickly found the address of Ruth’s sister.
She knocked on the door.
After a moment, it opened just a crack.
A thin young woman with her hair tied up peeked out. She wore loose, oversized clothes, her body thin and petite.
The second she saw the mask, her expression tightened. “Who are you?”
Hayley studied the girl’s guarded posture, then took out the wallet and checked the photo inside. “Leena?”
“Why do you have my sister’s wallet?” Leena Sarratt’s eyes widened. She yanked the door fully open.
“She asked me to give this to you.” Hayley tossed the wallet over after confirming Leena’s identity.
Leena caught it instinctively. The moment it touched her hands, a deep sense of unease flashed across her face.
“Where is she?”
“Leena!”
“Leena!”
Several voices called out behind her.
A group of young girls crowded into view.
They were all under 20. The youngest looked barely 12. Every one of them was skinny, dark–skinned from sun and dirt, and dressed in deliberately shabby clothes, clearly trying to make themselves less noticeable.
They gathered behind Leena, staring warily at Hayley’s green mask.
In Ark Two, masks meant power. They meant someone important.
Seeing a masked guest who was a woman surprised them. Why would someone like that show up in the outer zone?
“What happened to Ruth?” Leena clenched the wallet tightly, her clear eyes locked on Hayley.
“She told me to tell you this,” Hayley said calmly. “Take care of yourself.”
Leena grabbed Hayley’s arm. “What does that mean? Is she dead?”
“Leena!”
“Leena!”
The other girls rushed forward, pulling Leena back.
Hayley was an honored guest at their base, after all. They couldn’t afford to offend her.
“Ruth is a manager in the middle zone. Nothing will happen to her.”

“Yeah, she’s respected and well–liked. She’ll be fine.”

“Let’s keep training. When our Women’s Unit gets strong enough, we’ll bring her back. Then she won’t have to serve people anymore just to trade for supplies for us.”
“We’ll protect Ruth next time!”
Hayley listened quietly, her gaze sweeping over the group.
“What did you call yourself? The Women’s Unit?” she asked.
“Yes.”
The girls nodded eagerly.
“Leena’s our captain. We’re the Women’s Unit.”
“We’re not weaker than men. We can kill zombies, too!”
Hayley smiled faintly. “That’s impressive. I’ll remember
