Chapter 575

“Pick another stall,” Marvin said calmly.

“I’m not staying here!” Trina snapped, shaken. “There’s a dead body in here! Let’s just go back to the classroom

The room went quiet again.

Then, something hit Marvin. He rushed to the first stall and started pounding on the door.

“Adele! Are you okay?”

But all he got was silence. A thin line of blood was slowly seeping out from under the stall.

“Mr. Ortega…”

“Adele!”

One of the boys dropped to the floor and pressed his face to the narrow gap beneath the divider.

What he saw made every hair on his body stand up.

Behind Adele, two pale hands were reaching out from inside the toilet tank. One clamped over her face, and the other pinned her from behind.

A bald head was buried deep in her abdomen. It had torn through her back and was chewing forward. Blood splattered everywhere as the zombie tore into her organs, devouring them in huge, savage bites.

The boy could vaguely see the liver still twitching and convulsing, along with half-chewed intestines slick with blood.

Sensing his gaze, the zombie vice principal seemed almost aware. It slowly lifted its blood-soaked, balding head, its gray-white zombie eyes locking straight onto him.

Then, it tore itself free from Adele’s body and lunged toward the door, where more food was waiting on the other

side.

“Ahh! Run!” The boy scrambled up, shoving everyone out of the way as panic exploded.

Chaos filled the restroom.

In the men’s restroom across the hall, Hayley heard the scream and moved instantly. She shot out like a bullet.

Damn it! How did it get into the girls’ washroom? There was only one entrance.

She burst into the women’s restroom.

There it was. The high-level zombie vice principal!

Having just fed on a living person, the zombie was violently stirred by the fresh blood. All it could see now was living prey.

The fear it had felt earlier that afternoon, when Hayley nearly severed its neck, was completely gone.

Its head hung crooked, half-sliced and barely attached by what remained of flesh and spine, as it lunged toward them in a spray of blood. It opened its mouth, thick strands of blood and pulp spilling from between its lips and running down over its swollen mouth.

All the students stood directly in its path.

At the critical moment, Marvin stepped forward again to shield them, placing every student safely behind him. He spread his arms, looking like an old bull protecting its calves.

“Raarh!”

The zombie roared. The sound seemed to split the air.

Right as it leapt, silver flashed again.

Hayley’s blade carved toward the remaining half of its neck.

This time, she couldn’t split the skull and get straight to the crystal core. She needed the head intact so she could run tests on it back at the base.

Slash!

An arm flew into the air.

The zombie had tried to block her strike, but it was too slow. Its forearm hit the floor with a wet thud.

It screamed.
