The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 626

Chapter 626

After Hayley left, Nathaniel fell into complete silence.

There was an old saying.

If someone didn’t explode outward, they twisted inward.

Nathaniel chose the second path.

In that long, suffocating silence, something inside him finally snapped loose.

“Mr. Delgado,” a guard reported nervously to Lance, “Mr. Nathaniel has locked himself in his room for hours. He had several women brought in. The doors have been closed the whole time. No one’s gone in or out, and he hasn’t eaten or drunk anything.”

“It’s just a few women,” Lance said coldly, clearly irritated at being interrupted while training his abilities. “You’re bothering me over something that small?”

“It’s not that,” the guard said quickly. “Mr. Nathaniel’s mental energy has been unstable lately. We’re worried about his condition.”

Lance’s expression darkened even more. Without another word, he turned and headed toward Nathaniel’s residence.

Inside Nathaniel’s room, the atmosphere was suffocating.

A group of young women huddled together in the corner, trembling with fear.

In the center of the room stood Nathaniel. He stared at them in silence.

“Start with you.”

Nathaniel walked slowly toward the first woman and gave her a strange smile.

“Do you love me?”

“Mr. Delgado, I-I love you,” the woman stammered.

“Say it louder.”

“I love you.”

Her face had already gone pale.

“Then why doesn’t she love me?” Nathaniel asked softly.

The girl froze.

“Sh-she must not have good judgment,” she said shakily. “Y-You’re amazing. Every woman in the world would love you ”

Nathaniel helped her to her feet with a gentle smile.

“You really think so?”

The girl seemed to gain a tiny bit of courage.

“Yes,” she said quickly. “You’re handsome and powerful… There’s no way any woman wouldn’t like you. She must be blind.”

“And what else?” Nathaniel asked.

“Sh-she must be crazy,” the woman rushed on. “She’s pretending. Something’s wrong with her…”

Her sentence never finished.

Nathaniel’s hand suddenly closed around her throat. “Who said you could speak badly about her?”

The cheerful smile vanished from his face. His eyes turned dark and cold.

Crack!

He twisted her neck and tossed the body aside.

The other girls watched in horror as the fear on her face went still forever. They shrank even deeper into the corner.

“You tell me,” Nathaniel said suddenly, turning toward them. “Do you love me? Answer me! Do you love me?”

The girls broke down crying.

Nathaniel stared at the tears on their faces. He walked over and strangled them one by one.

“Did I bully you?” he demanded. “I’m so good, so perfect and outstanding. And love you all. Yet you’re crying? So you don’t love me either!”

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

Nathaniel’s mental energy surged violently through the room.

More than a dozen girls collapsed in seconds.

Only one remained. The last girl lay on the floor at the far end of the room, covering her ears as she stared at him in terror.
