Chapter 627
The next second, the girl’s neck tore open, and blood spilled everywhere.
Nathaniel bent over her, biting into the wound again and again. He tore at her flesh like a starving animal.
In his mind, it wasn’t her.
It was Hayley.
He wanted to eat her flesh, drink her blood, and swallow her whole.
How dare she reject him!
Just then, the door to the room burst open.
“Nathaniel!”
A sharp voice echoed behind him.
“Nathaniel!”
Someone rushed forward and yanked him away from the body.
Nathaniel turned, his face soaked in blood. When he saw who it was, a twisted smile spread across his face.
“Lance, you’re here,” he said happily. “I told you she loves me. She said it herself.”
Lance looked around the room. His expression turned terrifyingly dark.
“What the hell happened here?”
“That woman rejected him again,” Constant said quietly. “In front of everyone.”
“No, she didn’t,” Nathaniel insisted, his eyes bloodshot. He pointed toward the bodies behind him. “Look. They all said they love me.”
Lance finally snapped. “Nathaniel!”
“Lance!” Nathaniel shoved him away, his expression twisting again into wounded desperation. “She doesn’t love me. She said she would never marry me. How could she hurt me like that?”
Lance stared at him coldly.
“Pathetic,” he said. “One woman pushed you into this state?”
“But she said she doesn’t love me! How am I supposed to accept that? She doesn’t love me!”
“You idiot!” Lance snapped. “Why do you need her to love you? If you want her, take her. If she refuses, kill her.”
Nathaniel froze.
Then, the madness in his eyes slowly cooled.
Right.
Hayley had said he was just chasing his own desires.
But that was fine. His desires were the only thing that mattered. Why should he care about her teelings?
If he wanted her, he would take her.
If she refused…then she deserved to die.

“I’ll bring her to you,” Lance said coldly. “A small base like hers, and she dares act arrogant? Even if they’re strong, do they think they can match all three Ark bases together? We showed them some courtesy, and they think they’re something special. Fine. This time, we’ll teach Base K1 their place.”
Lance turned sharply.
“Send word to the other bases. Tell them I’m going to deal with Base K1!”
Hayley boarded the helicopter early. Her face stayed dark the entire flight.
Nathaniel had disgusted her. She had disliked him from the very first time they met during the rescue mission.
Hayley wasn’t some saint.
But she still couldn’t stand someone like Nathaniel, who treated human lives like they meant nothing
She had never given him even the slightest encouragement, yet he kept harassing her.
Back then, she had asked Samuel to refuse him repeatedly.
But Nathaniel was the kind of man who didn’t understand rejection.
No matter how many times he was turned down, he kept inviting her to travel with him. He even threatened her using her base.
If she didn’t go to him, he would come to her.
Hayley had chosen patience. Her base was still developing, and she didn’t want unnecessary conflict.
Hence, she had gone along with a few of those outings.
But nothing about him ever changed.
