Chapter 796
The stall doors had barely clicked shut when several men walked into the restroom.
Zippers slid down, the sound of Tuning water filling the space.
One of them headed straight for the back, toward the stalls. He tried Griffin’s door first and found it locked. Then he pushed on Hayley’s, which was also locked.
“What is it today? Everyone lining up or something…” he muttered under his breath.
He stepped over to the next stall. It was empty.
He went in.
Inside the cramped stall, Hayley and Scott stood inches apart, tension so thick that it felt like the air might snap.
Her hand was still clamped around his throat. One wrong move, and she looked ready to kill him on the spot.
Scott didn’t flinch. He met her eyes evenly.
Then came a soft thud.
A roll of toilet paper slipped under the divider from the next stall, bumping lightly against the floor near their feet.
Hayley blinked, caught off guard for half a second. The next second, she was lifted off the ground.
Scott had grabbed her, hoisting her up.
At the same time, an arm reached under their stall door, groping around for the fallen roll.
“Mr. Fuller? Is that you in there?” the man in the next stall called.
He saw Scott’s shoes and recognized him instantly.
Still holding Hayley in the air, Scott answered in a low voice, “Yeah.”
“Our supervisors are waiting outside. The shipment should be ready for you,” the man said casually, still using the toilet.
Suddenly, he paused. A voice crackled through his earpiece.
“What? The shipment’s gone? Yeah, I’m on level three. I’ll check it out right now!”
He hurried to finish, shoved the stall door open, and rushed out.
“Come with me, now!”
Footsteps pounded away down the hall.
Only then did the tight knot in Hayley’s chest loosen.
Right after that, she heard Scott’s voice by her ear. “That’s twice I’ve helped you now. You might want to show a little gratitude.”
Hayley glared at him. She shoved him off and dropped back onto her feet, releasing his throat at the same time.
The stall door swung open.
“Captain Gorgeous, are we pulling out?” Griffin asked.
“We’re leaving,” she said without hesitation.
“You’re not getting out,” Scott said as he stepped out behind them, rubbing his neck. “The shipment’s gone. This place is about to lock down. Don’t underestimate security here. It’s easy to get in, but hard to get out.”

Hayley’s brows drew together
“Come with me,” Scott said. “I’ll take you out.”
She stared at him, suspicion still sharp in her eyes.
“I don’t think I did anything wrong,” Scott said, his tone steady. “Blood for blood. You killed my people. I took your aunt.”
Her fists tightened again.
“I can give you a lead on her,” he went on. “You can come back with me to the headquarters and check for yourself. Then we’ll call it even. Don’t say I forgot you helped me before.”
Hayley froze. Her eyes flicked up to his face.
There was no fake sincerity, no overplayed emotion. Just that same calm, almost indifferent look.
