Chapter 807
Under Harrison’s furious reprimand, everyone stood there, trembling.
“I don’t tolerate carelessness or sloppy work,” Harrison said coldly. “Starting today, every parachute will be personally tested by the team leads and assistant leads on that production line.”
The team leads responsible for the parachute line went pale, shaking like leaves.
Hayley watched him, genuinely surprised.
For a second, she almost thought this was a manager who actually valued human life, someone who cared about safety and took pride in his work.
Then he kept talking.
“I will not receive another complaint from above. If I hear even one more reporf about defective products coming out of my district, I’ll have every single one of you killed. I don’t allow stains on my record!”
The flicker of respect in Hayley’s eyes vanished instantly.
Harrison wasn’t someone who cared about people. All he cared about was his performance.
His precision, strictness, and his cold, ruthless edge all came from one place: he only cared about satisfying the people above
him.
He was nothing more than a tool.
After finishing his lecture, Harrison waved a hand to dismiss them.
The team leads scattered, as if they had just been pardoned from a death sentence. The few who had arrived seconds late stood
frozen, fear written all over them.
“You should understand something. I don’t tolerate excuses here!” Harrison’s icy gaze swept over them.
“Mr. White, I was wrong!”
“Mr. White, please, we messed up!”
The group of about eight dropped to their knees, begging.
Harrison checked each of their access cards one by one, then pulled out a small notebook and wrote down their ID numbers.
“Major demerit for all of you,” he said flatly. “Pair up. Pull off a toenail.”
Hayley stared at him, stunned all over again.
Seriously?
Who even comes up with something like that? That kind of pain had to be unbearable! She would almost rather they just cut the whole toe off.
The group in front of her started shaking uncontrollably. A few of the weaker ones fainted on the spot.
Hayley was assigned someone, too.
A woman.
The woman looked at her like she was staring straight at death, her foot trembling nonstop.
Ahead of them, the faster guards had already gotten to work.

They yanked off their partners‘ socks, shoved them into mouths to truffle screams, then tore off toenails in one quick, practiced motion. The victim’s doubled over, bodies curling in on themselves as raw, broken screams ripped out.
Just from how practiced their movements were, Hayley could tell this wasn’t their first time doing it.
The woman in front of her kept shaking her foot twitching uncontrollably.
Hayley pulled the woman’s sock, but instead of staffing it into her mouth, Hayley held onto it. She reached down and gripped
the woman’s foot.
