Chapter 828
Leonard, Thomas, and Robert stayed outside the shelter around the clock.
Jim and the others were called back as well and stationed outside. No one was allowed in. Hayz and the drone radar system monitored everything inside the shelter
This time, not even a fly was getting through. No one was sneaking in under her watch.
Hayley had already learned her lesson the hard way.
After settling Ruby in, Hayley headed out again with Griffin as usual. The helicopter lifted off, bound for Fairfield once more.
On the way, Hayley reviewed the latest reports from the league.
In such a short time, the league had grown fast.
After Milo took Crestford, Alex suggested building signal towers across Brookville, Crestford, and along the outer canyon zone, broadcasting their signal outward.
They had started getting responses from distant bases.
The three Ark bases had also received a steady stream of replies.
Across the vast inland, more bases had been discovered.
So far, aside from Clark Base, the rest were just like the ones Hayley remembered from her past life: small populations, barely surviving.
With Aecraton as their stronghold, backed by the sea and shielded by two cities, Hayley’s group had managed to secure a foothold along the eastern coast.
For inland bases, it was a different story.
They were surrounded on all sides by zombies. There was no way out.
As the zombies evolved, weaker bases were wiped out one after another. The ones still standing had some strength, but life was
still brutal.
Supplies were never steady, zombies were a constant threat, and worst of all, resources were always running short.
Hayley went through report after report, each one ultimately asking for the same thing.
They were asking for help.
She went quiet for a moment, thinking it over. Then she tapped her earpiece.
“Help them.”
She wasn’t short on supplies anymore. Production across the alliance was still climbing. Her warehouses were already
overflowing.
To her, these extra supplies meant nothing.
But now, they could be used to pull more forces together.
Ascendant Creed was still hanging over them like a blade, ready to drop at any moment. The stronger she became, the better.
“Send the supplies out. Help whoever we can.”
“Got it!” Liam answered without hesitation.

The moment he got the order, he started moving, contacting outside bases. He planned to send helicopters out, air-dropping supplies to support them.
As Liam worked, there was a faint lift at the corner of his mouth.
He liked doing this.
Four, five years into the apocalypse, and the sense of duty from his days as a soldier still hadn’t faded.
He was never going to turn into some territorial warlord. he could help, he would. What made him even more certain was that Hayley didn’t clash with that belief.
Liam had always believed actions mattered more than intentions.
