Chapter 888

Hayley rushed in with her blade and brought it down hard across Decider Three’s neck.

Still caught up in his triumph, he never saw it coming. He hesitated for a split second, then sparks bui where the blade struck.

His head separated cleanly from his body. Not a single drop of blood followed, only the crackling hiss machinery.

That was when Hayley realized his entire body was mechanical.

She remembered what Ruby had once told her.

Ascendant Creed was full of people like this; fanatics who cut away their own flesh and replaced it witl machines because they despised their human bodies.

That said, seeing one of their Deciders reduced to nothing but a head still shook her. The man had actually rebuilt himself down to that.

Decider Three’s head rolled far across the ground.

“Hahaha.”

His voice came out distorted, electronic.

He turned his head, red mechanical eye locking onto Hayley as his mouth opened to count down.

“Twenty-one… Twenty… Nineteen…”

Hayley walked toward him, blade hanging loose in her hand. “Counting down your own death?”

“Of course not,” he said, almost gleeful. “Serum X is the highest concentration of the zombie strain. You’ll fully turn in under a minute. I’m waiting to see you become the strongest of them all. Ten… Nine…”

“Is that so?” Hayley stopped ten meters away. “Then I’ll let you live a little longer.”

She smiled faintly and tossed an empty syringe toward him.

It was her zombie virus inhibitor!

The confidence on Decider Three’s face cracked. He stared at her, at the complete lack of change, disbelief flashing through his eyes.

“No. 7913, the zombie strain can’t be cured. There’s no way you…”

‘Four… Three… Two… One. Time’s up.”

Hayley lifted her head. Her eyes were clear and sharp, completely unchanged.

“One more thing,” she said. “The name’s Hayley. Don’t forget it, even in hell.”

At the same moment, she raised her blade high.

Decider Three froze, panic finally breaking through. “No. 5587!”

The man she had stabbed through the heart shot forward at blinding speed, lightning gathering in his

hand once more.

At the same time, Decider Three activated his final gift: an absolute force field. Within it, no one could surpass its master.

Every one of Hayley’s gifts would be suppressed. No matter how many she had, none could exceed 5587′ s level. Not even her speed.

Just as Decider Three felt certain he had this in the bag, his expression changed. He realized 5587’s lightning gift vanished out of nowhere.

And his field…disappeared, too.

That meant…Hayley had a hidden gift. One that could erase other people’s gifts.

Before he could even figure out what it was, Hayley was already in front of him.
