Karim’s eyes widened in shock. “Wait, is it someone I know? I’m always good to people, and I have a good relationship with everyone around me.”

Nina shook her head. “Money changes everything. No friend lasts forever. Silkcloud said the guy talking to the vet sounded like a middle-aged man with a really deep voice.

“Do any of your friends match that description?”

Karim paused to think, then nodded. “Yeah, I’ve got three friends whose voices fit what Silkcloud described.”

He quickly unlocked his phone and called each of them one after another.

And when Karim made the second call, Silkcloud’s ears perked up. “That’s his voice.”

Nina shot Karim a meaningful look.

Karim’s face darkened as he hung up. He said, “I can’t believe it was him.

“The guy I just called is Gunnar. He’s the one who hooked me up with the vet. We’re really tight business partners. It seems that he’s been keeping a lot of secrets from me.”

Karim tapped on his phone for a bit, then looked up. “Ms. Summer, I really appreciate the clue you gave me today. You helped me see a friend’s true colors.

“I’ve decided to throw in an extra 2 million dollars as a bonus. It’ll be sent to your account together with the 3 million dollars for the treatment.”

Nina was so stunned, and she almost doubted her own ears after hearing the interpreter’s words.

She instantly switched to her most flattering tone. “Mr. Karim, that’s very kind of you. Seriously, you’re so generous.”

Karim just waved it off with a genuine smile. “My oil fields have been pumping out so much lately, and I’ve got more money than I know what to do with. It’s no big deal.”

Nina was at a loss for words.

Karim glanced at his phone. “I’ve already got a private detective from Sahan digging into the vet’s offshore accounts. Ms. Summer, your animal communication skills are out of this world.”

His eyes lit up as if he’d just found a treasure. “Can I get your business card? I’ve got a bunch of animal-loving friends I want to introduce you to.”

The rich folks in Sahan were absolutely rolling in money, and their culture was crazy about falcons and stallions.

A lot of these tycoons built private zoos on their estates, stocked with all kinds of wild creatures, like cheetahs, tigers, and giant snakes. Vets were worth their weight in gold.

Karim beamed. “If any of them run into pet issues, I’ll tell them to go to you.”

Nina thought, ‘What? Does that mean I suddenly got a bunch of wealthy clients?”

Nina was so hyped that she nearly screamed. Instinctively, she reached into her pocket, only to realize she’d never even

bothered to make a business card.

She thought, ‘Would jotting my info on a random scrap of paper with a pen be super lame?’

Chapter 199

Just then, James walked in and handed Karim a stack of business cards.

365 vorichais

Karim examined them for a moment, then slipped them into his pocket. He turned to Quentin and said, “Ms. Summer’s cards have the same style as yours, Mr. Hayes. They look fantastic.”

He stood up and shook Quentin’s hand. “Mr. Hayes, thanks for the introduction. You’re the most reliable partner I’ve got in Eastland.”

Quentin shook back with a faint smile. “Thank you, Ms. Summer, for doing such a great job.”

Karim said he needed to head out and check in with his private detective, so Nina put on a cheerful smile and waved him off.

As Karim led Silkcloud away, the white horse kept looking back over his shoulder, his big eyes brimming with sadness as he gazed longingly at Nina.

“Don’t worry,” Nina said, her heart melting as she gave him a playful wink. “Next time I’m in Sahan for business, I promise I’ll come visit you.”

Once Karim and Silkcloud were gone, Nina spun around to Quentin, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “When did you have my business cards made?”

“No big deal. I got it done in a flash,” Quentin said with a casual shrug.

Quentin took a shiny new stack of cards from James and slipped them into her hand. “An animal communicator as awesome as you can’t be running around without a business card.”

Nina clutched the stack of fancy cards, still warm to the touch, her grin lighting up the room. “Thanks, Mr. Hayes.”

After lunch, Nina headed to the horse show with Quentin. And James guided her to a prime seat right up front in the VIP

section.

As the competition was about to kick off, Quentin led a jet-black Akhal-Teke into the arena, instantly grabbing everyone’s

attention.

The horse’s shiny coat looked like soft black velvet, with striking white hooves, making him stand out like a powerful stallion on the field.

This black beauty could easily rival Silkcloud in value.

Nina couldn’t help but marvel at Quentin’s wealth. And honestly, she felt jealous.

As soon as Nina took her seat, a stream of impeccably dressed business big names began approaching her for a chat.

“Ms. Summer, I heard you cured Mr. Karim’s Akhal-Teke. Such talent at your age is truly remarkable. I’m a director at PrimeLand Realty, It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Ms. Summer, I’ve long admired your reputation as an animal communicator. May I have the honor of exchanging business cards with you? I’m the executive director at Ranel Technologies.”

James expertly distributed Nina’s business cards, while Nina herself collected a thick stack of cards from industry leaders

across the room.

Someone recognized James and asked with interest, “Is Ms. Summer the vet expert for the Hayes Group?”

James answered with an easy smile, “No, Ms. Summer is actually a key partner of Mr. Hayes.”

That revelation made everyone around suddenly see Nina in a whole new light.
