The Moment I Realized I Can't Lose You novel Chapter 110

At 10:30 PM, Joaquin's jet touched down at Silveridge International Airport.

Running on zero sleep for nearly twenty hours, Joaquin stalked out of the terminal and slid into the passenger seat of Felix's waiting sports car. "Where are they?"

"The Marine Kitchen. Bianca took them there," Felix said, passing his phone over. "My guys snapped this."

Joaquin snatched the phone. It was a shot taken through the crack of a private dining room door, but it was crystal clear. Audrey, Bianca, Nora, and Miles were sitting around a table, laughing. Audrey's face was glowing with genuine joy. He realized with a sickening jolt that he hadn't seen her look that happy in over a year.

Felix put the car in gear, glancing nervously at his friend. "You know, you've been married to Audrey for a year, and I don't think she's ever invited you to hang out with her friends. She's known my cousin for what, a week? And they're already having cozy dinners..."

The temperature in the car dropped so fast Felix actually shivered. He caught a glimpse of Joaquin's eyes and immediately shut his mouth.

Joaquin stared at the photo, his jaw clenched so tight his teeth ached. He had an overwhelming urge to punch through the screen, rip Miles out of the chair, and take his place. He was her husband. Why was Miles the one sitting there?

Thirty minutes later, Felix parked in front of the Marine Kitchen.

Joaquin shoved the door open and marched inside. The trench coat billowing behind him carried the biting chill of the night air. His aura was so overwhelmingly dark and oppressive that waiters and patrons instinctively flattened themselves against the walls as he passed.

He stopped silently outside their private room.

His hand hovered over the brass handle. Just as he was about to push it open, Bianca's voice drifted through the gap in the door.

"Okay, Audrey, spill. What is actually going on between you and Miles?"
