Chapter 122
Justine had an evil smirk on her lips, and I could see how much she was enjoying herself. Seeing Elara suffer was making her happy.
Afterall, Elara made life difficult for her before. This was payback time, and Justine wouldn’t let the opportunity to see Elara suffer slip through her fingers.
“I see you’re enjoying this very much,” I commented. She nodded, her eyes glistening with excitement.
“I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying this!” She clapped her hands like an excited little girl. “This is her karma for being a nasty person to the staff and me. Make her work some more. I have a list of things she can do”
“I will consider your suggestions,” I said.
“You should. You’re going to become the Luna and Lady of the West, she can’t refuse you” Justine blinked, seeing a rally to make me agree.
I chuckled at her adorable attempt. I was glad that she was no longer sad about her situation.
By the time we left the balcony, Elara had already walked away after working with the boys for hours.
She was sweating and limping when she left, which left Justine laughing happily, and I smiled too.
We parted ways. Justine went to find her mate, while I went into my room to find mine.
When I walked in, Theo was sitting at a laptop in our bedroom. I frowned. That was unusual. Theo never brought work to our room unless it was important.
To top it all, Theo didn’t see me walk in; he was utterly engrossed in his work, and I wondered what he was doing.
I didn’t disturb him; I took a shower and put on my nightgown.
I was about to sleep when Theo looked up and saw me. He looked surprised.
Blue eyes? When did you come in? I didn’t hear you,” he said.
I walked up to him and kissed his lips, easing his tension.
“You were working, I thought I shouldn’t disturb, so I took a shower and wanted to sleep before you saw me”, I said, and he pulled me close, making me sit on his lap.
“You’re not a disturbance, blue eyes. Your presence calmed the storm I was feeling in my chest” he kissed my neck, taking in my scent, and I opened myself up for him. “I love you and our pup so much. You mean the world to me”
“I love you so much, too, big wolf”, I kissed his forehead.

Chapter 122
We kissed passionately for a while, Theo’s hand found my thighs, and he caressed them, mak with need.
We stopped making out when an email popped up on Theo’s laptop, distracting us.
Theo was eager to see it and broke the kiss, and I let him.
I didn’t peek into what he was doing; I gave him space to work.
After a while, I asked. “What are you working on?”
“A lot is going on in the pack, and I feel like someone is plotting against me,” he said, sighing dejectedly.
“Working against you?” I asked. “What and who are they?”
“I have no idea who they are, Kaia”, Theo said. “I got a tip, and I’ve been tracing it, but it’s leading me to a dead end. I know something is wrong, but I can’t tell what it is.
First, it was the land dispute and now this. It may seem small, but I feel it’s building up towards a massive problem”
“How can I help?” I asked, seeing how worried he looked.
“I don’t know, Kaia,” Theo mouthed. “I don’t want to stress you out when you’re pregnant. You are already doing a lot, carrying our pup”
“It’s okay, I can handle it,” I said. “Send me everything you know. I will take it from there and investigate things. You can look into other things”
Theo looked at me gratefully.
I can do this. I helped Draven with things like this back in Silvermoon. It’s nothing I can’t handle.
“What would I have done without you, Blue eyes?” Theo stared into my eyes, and I melted under his gaze.
He looked like he couldn’t live without me. My heart palpitated.
“And you wouldn’t know, because I will be here to support you every step of the way”, I said and hugged myself.
“Thank you, blue eyes!”
When we were able to go to sleep, I recalled something and quickly sat up.
“Theo,” I called out, and he jolted up as well.
“Are you okay, darling?” he asked. “Does it hurt anywhere?”
“No, everything is fine”, I patted his chest.
He looked relieved, finally breathing.

Chapter 122
“I was thinking we should get you treated,” I suggested, and Theo frowned, confused. “I mea
help your heart, right?”
Hearing this, Theo looked surprised, then his face dropped.
“The chances are too low, Kaia”, he said. “The last time, I was told there was only a ten per cent chance that it would be a success and I would live an everyday life after that. Otherwise, I might lose my life in surgery.
I have you and our unborn baby, I can’t go into surgery knowing I wouldn’t be here to protect you two if anything happens.
Im afraid, I can’t take the surgery route, blue eyes”
I saw pain in his eyes, and my heart broke; he was scared.
“Hey, look at me,” I lifted his chin. “Nothing will happen to you. Our baby and I would only live happily when you are with us, healthy and happy, alright?” I said, and Theo nodded. “And for that, I’m willing to do everything, use all my contacts to get you the best treatment”
