When we walked out, the bodyguards followed discreetly behind us.

I was glad they were not shoving themselves in our faces. Otherwise, it would have been overwhelming.

Chapter 141

When we came out of the arena, we bumped into Katya, and she smiled at us.

“I’m glad I ran into you guys here,” she beamed a little smile. “I was coming to meet you. Theo asked me to be your tour guide to the cosmic lake”

“Really?” Justine excitedly asked, and Katya nodded. “Yes, he was worried you wouldn’t have a full experience without a local guiding you”

“That’s so sweet, thank you, Katya”, I said gratefully.

She nodded and led the way. We got into a jeep and drove all the way there.

It wasn’t far from the place, but we couldn’t walk down there.

“This is the love garden,” Katya pointed to a distant garden with trees, flowers and fruits.

It looked encircled by swings, benches and key walls, where people hung letters, charms and locked keys.

“Couples come here to make a public display of their love, locking their feelings away in a key and hanging it there”, she pointed to the key wall.

It looked so beautiful and thoughtful. I wished for Theo and I could have done the same, but unfortunately he wasn’t here.

“This is so thought-provoking, and adorable,” Justine exclaimed, I wish Zane and I could do the same”

“I feel the same way, Justine,” I said. “We can always come back to Nightshade pack some other time”

“You’re right,” Justine nodded. “Let’s go to the lake”

Katya took us around, showing us all the beautiful views leading to the lake.

I have heard that the lake was built during the war and is a reminder that happiness can still flow like the lake.

We walked down towards the lake, and the view was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.

“Oh my world!” Maliya gasped. “This is so pretty!”

The lake was blue, with clear, flowing water, and flowers surrounding the area.

It also had a waterfall above, falling into the lake below and the way the water bounces was beautiful to watch.

We stayed close to the lake, watching it to our heart’s content.

“We should get going now,” I voiced after thirty minutes.

“Do we really have to go back so soon?” Maliya groaned. “It’s beautiful here, I feel like I can’t live the rest of my life watching the lake”

“We have to go, we still need to pack our bags, remember?” I asked and she modded.

We rode back to the pack with Katya, still our tour guide.
