Chapter 151
-Draven–
I got an unexpected call from Theo.

At first, I couldn’t understand anything he was saying. How could he say people were planning a terrorist attack against him?
His pack is peaceful, and everything looks good from the outside. Why would he assume anyone would want to attack him?
Then, he mentioned how he was framed in an attack against a small village.
That was scary; if he had been found guilty, he would have lost everything
My heart was scared for him. Thankfully, he was cleared of all charges.
When he mentioned that the people who had done this to him weren’t just individuals but a body of a larger organisation, I wanted to argue with him.
Knowing our world, nobody would want to risk their lives for no reason and setting Theo up looks like it’s for no reason.
However, I couldn’t write off my gut feeling as well. Lately, I felke things weren’t the way they used to be.
The rogues who conspired with Kaia disappeared, and money has been missing from the treasury ever since.
I wonder if Kaia was behind this.
I mean, she was a scorned woman, and she would go to any length to vent her anger.
After all, she must feel awful that I banished her for what she didto Liora.
I shook the thoughts aside, Kaia wasn’t capable of this.
It must be someone powerful who can infiltrate packs without being noticed, and he must have men at his beck and call; that is something Kaia cannot afford.
Something strange is happening, and I will join Theo in figuring it out.
Because I can’t let my pack become a haven for criminals, it will tarnish mine and the pack’s reputation. I might even get punished for being an incompetent Alpha.
I can’t let that happen, especially now that Liora is almost due.
I want a peaceful home for my mate and my pups.
I pulled out my chair and began going over the pack border reports from the past weeks.
I wanted to know who went in and out of the pack during this, and whether anything was suspicious.
Nothing looked suspicious, but I knew it was all a spoof.
I was buried in my work when I heard Liora in my head, asking where I was.
I told her I was working in the office, and she asked me to come to the house immediately.
She sounded urgent, and my heart jumped out of my chest, thinking something bad happened to her.
I ran out of the office and rushed home straight. By the time I go there, I was breathless.

Chapter 151
“Surprise! Surprise!” Someone jumped behind me and clasped my face.
I couldn’t see, but I definitely knew who that voice belonged to. I could never be mistaken about it.
“Rabiya?” I called out, my lips quivering in disbelief.
She let go of her hold on my face, and I turned to look at her. She was smiling.
“In flesh and blood!” Rabiya said, jumping happily.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. I pulled her into my arms, hugging her tightly and squeezing her into myself as if I wanted to make her disappear into my skin.
“Hey, easy, brother!” Rabiya tapped my shoulder, pretending to choke.
“I’m so sorry,” I said, looking embarrassed. “Im so sorry, I was just too happy to see you”
Rabiya cupped my face and put her forehead against mine, shaking our heads together like we used to do when we were little.
“I missed you so much, too, Draven. Every moment away from you felt like torture,” Rabiya said with tears welling up in her eyes. “I wanted to come back and see you every chance I had, bu Mom and Dad wouldn’t let me. They were afraid the danger wasn’t over yet”
I nodded, knowing what she was talking about.
I hugged her again.
“Have you met Liora?” I asked, looking towards my heavily pregnant mate. “Shes my mate, and shes pregnant baby.”

Rabiya looked at her, smiling.
“She’s gorgeous, brother!” she muttered, winking at me. “Your choices are better than I remember; you’ve changed”
I laughed. She was crazy, she had always been, even when we were little, and now her tongue has grown sharper.
She was more blunt than I remember.
“Dont be silly, Biya,” I chuckled, and Liora did too.
“You know I’m right, brother!” Rabiya insisted. “When we were little, you had crushes on the weirdest people. I’m glad you’ve changed for the better because there is nobody who could be more fitting for you than Liora; she’s the perfect mate for you”
Rabiya left my side and went to stand by Liora. She linked her hand through Liora’s and leaned on her as if they had known each other longer than today.
“Liora, I’m glad my brother got a gorgeous mate like you,” she said to Liora with a smile. “And very soon, you’ll give me a niece or nephew”
“You’re so funny and sweet, Rabiya” Liora gave Rabiya a small smile.
I stood there watching them interact like they were best friends. For a moment, they must have forgotten I was there
I was glad they are getting along so well, it will make my life easier that two of the most important women in my life see each other as family.
“Let’s go inside, you must be tired after all the driving here”, Lion suggested, and I nodded.

Chapter 151
If she hadn’t said it, Rabiya wouldn’t mind talking all year long. She’s that much of a talker.

“I didn’t know I would recognise anything again,” Rabiya said while we walked into the living area. “Everything looked almost the same, the way it looked when I left years ago”
“Mom and Dad wanted things to feel the same,” I said. “They wanted to be reminded of everything they went through, that’s why it’s still the same way. However, a lot of development had been made, so we just left the layout the way it was”
Rabiya grinned.
“It was your idea to develop these areas, wasn’t it?” she asked, directing it to Liora.
Liora shifted in her seat and glanced at me. I nodded.
“Yes,” she beamed slightly.
It wasn’t her idea; it was Kaia’s, but she is no longer a part of our lives, and I would not let her take credit for anything.
“I knew it!” she squeaked. “The moment I saw you, I knew you’d be a brilliant mind. Thank you for making this feel so homely”
Rabiya wouldn’t stop talking to Liora. They chatted about everything.
And kept smiling from ear to ear, seeing my sister again.
“Do our parents know you are here?” I asked, grabbing her attention.
“I didn’t tell them anything,” she shrugged. “I was sure they would try to stop me, so I didn’t tell them”
“Im sure they wouldn’t mind, it’s been years. They must be eager to see you again,” I said, and she shrugged.
“Maybe, I don’t know,” she replied.
“Dont worry, I will tell them for you” I take her hand into mine. For now, focus on enjoying your stay here. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask Liora or me.”
“Oh, I will surely enjoy it. You don’t even have to say it!” Rabiya squeaked, and we laughed.
After dinner, Liora took Rabiya around the pack while I stood at the balcony staring at them from there.
My heart rippled with joy as I watched them.
My phone suddenly beeped, and I took it out and saw a text.
[Come to the barn house, I found something you might find interesting]
I looked at the sender, and it was my beta. I shook my head.
Strange. He could have come to see me in my office. There was no need to call me to the barn house.
I glanced at Liora and Rabiya one more time before I hurried away.
Whatever made Rowan call me outside must be serious, and I have to see it for myself.
