The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

–Kaia–

Tears dropped from my eyes when I wore my wedding dress.

It was finally my wedding day with Theo; I would officially be crowned as his Luna today.

I didn’t know how to feel.

My emotions were stumbling over, and I allowed myself to cry.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I turned to look. It was Maliya

“Don’t hold it back, Kaia,” Maliya encouraged, smiling at me. “You are allowed to cry today”

When I heard her say this, I couldn’t hold it, and I collapsed into her arms, sobbing.

I miss my grandma a lot today.

Today, I was reminded of how many family members I no longer have, and I was alone in this world.

“Come on, my Luna,” Justine said jokingly. “The Alpha is waiting

I pulled away from Maliya, wiping my tears and giggling.

They led me out of the door and into the garden where the ceremony was being held.

I had a veil over my head while Justine and Maliya held my hands, leading me towards Theo.

I peeked out from my veil and saw Theo, fully dressed in his customary uniform and beaded cap.

I smiled to myself, seeing how handsome he looked.

Soon, we stood in the middle of the pack house, outside in the open, with the pack members watching us gleefully.

They were smiling and pointing at us.

I noticed that all the pack’s high-ranking members were standing behind Theo, in order of rank.

They were waiting for Justine, Maliya, and me to enter.

And the moment we did, they threw flowers at us while the warriors saluted us.

There is a bonfire, and a woman walks around it, chanting incanation’s to summon the

presence of the moon goddess.

It was necessary for the ceremony because Theo and I are not faced mates.

Besides, it was the red moon; the goddess had to bless us with her presence to urge us to bless and defeat evil.

“Oh mother of the moon, show yourself to us and make this day a success,” the priestess said, chanting and dancing around the fire. “A moon day is incomplete without the moon goddess, and a mating ceremony is not possible without the maker of the mate bond. Oh, mother, show yourself!”

She kept repeating it over and over again. Then, she suddenly stepped and smiled cheerfully,

“Mother is here, now down to the great mother, the moon goddess!” She ordered, and everyone immediately fell flat on their knees.

Chapter 161

Except Theo and me, everyone else bowed.

Suddenly, I felt an overwhelming feeling.

It felt as if a powerful force was coming towards me, like I was standing close to it.

I looked around sharply, but there was nothing there.

It was probably a fragment of my imagination.

Once the bowing ceremony was done, they all got back on their feet.

The priestess turned to Theo and me with a smile, indicating ou union was blessed by the supreme power.

“The moon goddess has blessed your union,” she said, smiling. “Now, let’s proceed with the vows”

She walked and stood in front of us.

“Face each other and hold your hands,” she instructed, and we did.

Immediately, I felt my wolf, Tamara, jumping and trying to come to the surface.

She was excited to be mated to Theo’s wolf, Stash. She was howling in my head like a lovestruck puppy, and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“I can’t wait to be truly Stash’s mate. He and Theo are ours, Kaia Tamara said, and I smiled.

“I can’t wait either. Trust me, after today, they will be ours forever,” I said, and she jumped giddily again.

“Today, you stand before each other as equals with a strong bond that binds you two together forever. Everything you do affects the other person, and that makes you two one soul with two bodies” The priest addressed us. “The vow you take is a seal, and you are not allowed to go against it.

It’s the basis of your bond, in front of your people and the moon goddess as a witness. Do you understand?”

I looked at Theo, and we both nodded at the same time. Theo was emotional; I could see it in his eyes.

“Yes, high priestess,” we said.

“Now, say your vows,” The priestess said.

“I, Alpha Theo Ashford, the leader of the Shadowclaw pack, promise to love, protect and stay loyal to you, Ka until my last breath. I promised to treat you respectfully as my nate, better half and Luna. I swear on the m who is my witness”

Theo locked eyes with me, a tear tugging at his eyelid, but he hell it back and smiled awkwardly.

He tightened his hold on my hand,

I had no idea when, but my tears fell freely from my face, and Iidn’t even try to stop them.

This was the happiest day of my life; my heart was pounding with excitement.

“I, Kaia Nightshade, a member of the Shadowclaw Pack, promise to cherish you, hold your hands and love you until my last breath. I will treat you as my love, my mate, and my Alpha forever. With the moon goddess as my witness, I will do as I had promised,” I said, and I broke down in tears.

“With the power within me as the high priestess and with the blessings of the moon goddess, I pronounce you mates, “the priestess declared, and the crowd burst into applause.

Chapter 161

Theo pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly.

“You may now claim your mate,” The priestess reminded us, and we broke the hug. “In front of your pack”

Theo and I looked at each other, feeling shy. We had been intimate a lot of times, but public claiming wasn’t something we were used to.

But it was necessary to complete the marriage ceremony before my Luna crowning.

Theo moved closer to me, took deep breaths and locked eyes with me.

He gently brushed my hair aside to expose my neck.

His wolf surged-it had glowing eyes.

He leaned in and began sucking my sweet spot, making tinges appear on my skin.

I was fighting back a moan, tugging at my tongue. My body wanted the whole pack to know how much I was enjoying this, but I had shame, so I held back the moan.

Tamara was practically dancing and yearning for Theo’s teeth to sink into the spot where my mark was supposed to be.

I braced myself for it as well.

Soon, I felt Theo’s teeth elongate, and his claws shot out, and he Bank his teeth into my neck, marking me.

I leaned back and cried in pleasure. It was both painful and pleasurable.

Once he was done, he hugged me.

“And Alpha Theo has claimed his mate, Kaia!” The priestess announced, and they began to clap.

We were overjoyed; our wolves howled.

Theo’s were dark, and so was mine; our wolves were uniting with us.

When I thought the marking ceremony was over, Theo raised his hand, stopping the loud noises.

“Hold on, everyone,” Theo said, and they all calmed down. “My mate is yet to mark me,” he said, and the place burst with

murmur.

They looked at him with disbelief, and I did too.

That surprised me; we didn’t discuss this beforehand. Moreover, it’s not usual for Alphas to let their mates mark them.

It would make the bond even stronger and harder to break.

I looked at him and asked, “Are you sure about this, Theo?”

“I’m more than sure, I’ve never been more sure of anything in my entire life,” Theo replied and kissed my knuckles.

The priestess was shocked. She moved close to Theo and whispered something in his ear. I couldn’t hear it, but Theo was adamant, and she was forced to succumb.

“Lady Kaia, you may now mark the Alpha as your mate,” the priestess announced.

I had tears in my eyes when I walked closer to him and marked im as instructed,

When I marked him, a tremor rolled through the place, and a powerful force sliced through it.

Then the pack bowed their heads and howled, accepting the bond.

Immediately, Justine came onto the stage with a bejewelled tray containing our token of union.

“Alpha Theo, who would you like to give your token of union to our bride? Please call them now,” The priestess said, and Theo’s face dropped.

I knew he was thinking of his mother, and I felt bad for him.

Theo looked into the high table, where his father was sitting, and they exchanged a knowing glance, and Kingsley walked down towards us.

“My father will do it,” Theo replied.

Soon, Kingsley was standing in front of us. Justine raised the tray to him, and he picked a woven bracelet and tied it around my wrist.

“I welcome you into our family and pack, dear Kaia”, Kingsley said while tying the bracelet. I smiled at him.

Once he finished, he returned to his seat.

“Lady Kaia, who would you like to give your token of union to your groom? Please call them now,” The priestess said, and my heart dropped.

In Silvermoon, my grandma did this ceremony for me, but now she was gone, and I had no one else to do it.

Theo saw my face and cupped it. He wanted to tell the priestesso leave out this part of the ceremony, but before he could say it, Maliya raised a hand.

Maliya walked towards us and stood beside me, smiling.

“Kaia, you’re like my own sister. A big sister I’ve always wanted, you came and became that for me,” Maliya said, and tears rolled from my eyes. “Family ties are not just blood related; to me, you’re my family, and I want to be your family too”

I nodded, sobbing.

Justine, who was holding the tray, also chimed in, hugging my side and wanting to do it as well.

“Maliya and Justine will do it,” I said between sobs.

They picked the woven bracelet from the tray and tied it around Theo’s wrist together.

“Welcome to our family, Alpha Theo,” they said in unison. “Be sure to take care of our dearest Kaia. Otherwise, her sisters will gang up on you, and that would be a problem,” they said, and we burst out laughing.

The priestess recited some chants, and soon the moonlight bathed us, spilling over everyone present in the pack.

“You are now mates!” She said, and they all applauded. “It’s time to make her your Luna, Alpha Theo. Come forward and crown her as the pack’s Luna”
