The packs outcast Luna (Kaia and Theo) novel Chapter 160

Chapter 160

Ramos looked at me with his tear-filled eyes, and I waited for his emotions to settle before I continued.

He looked distressed, and I could see pain in his eyes.

Not only Ramos, but everyone in the room was waiting for me to say something.

I took deep breaths under their watchful eyes.

“My offer is you have to continue working with Garry Walker,” I said, and everyone gasped. “But, you’ll be reporting back to us. Basically, you’re our spy”

Justine winked at me, obviously on board with my plan.

But Theo didn’t look convinced, and I know why he would feel that way.

“If you prove yourself, we might just forgive your treasonous actions, but if you betray us again, you’ll be out to death with no mercy”

I turned to Theo, who nodded, assuring me that he would do as had said.

“I assure you,” Ramos cried. “I will never betray you. I will not give you a reason to complain, my lady”

He broke down in tears, his body shook from his sobbing, and I felt pity for him.

Garry Walker, that bastard, had made life unbearable for Ramos and his family, forcing him to join hands with him against his will.

Thinking of how Becky lost her twins, I clenched my fist. Anger Burged through me. I heard Tamara whimpering in my head; she was angry, too.

Tamara is protective of our unborn pup; if anything happens to it, she would burn the whole pack down. So, she understands the pain of losing a baby.

“Kappa, please get him cleaned up and take him to see his family” I said. It was best if he saw them and felt assured that they were safe.

Ramos looked shocked, and I nodded with a smile.

“This is your chance to redeem yourself and free your family from harm’s way, Ramos,” I said. “I hope you don’t blow it up”

I couldn’t

stay there any longer and left with Justine and Maliya while Theo stayed back to talk to Ramos.

They have a lot to talk about, and I don’t want to be an intruder in their conversation.

“I knew Garry was suspicious, I can’t believe how evil he is” Justie was seething with murderous intent.

I felt the same way, too,

“That bastard killed their babies and forced Ramos to work for em. I feel like spitting on his face”

My stomach twisted in disgust the more I listened to Justine ven

“What are we going to do with him, Kaia?” Maliya asked.

I stopped in my tracks to face her, I was lost for words.

“I don’t know, but we can’t arrest him just yet. I’m sure he’s not the only one in this scheme. Other people are hiding in the shadows. If we catch him now, they will be alerted, and even if we had him locked up, the others will continue what they started”

My mind was teeming with a whole tangle of emotions that I could barely sort out.

“You have a point. Let’s keep an eye on him for a few days and plan our move in the meantime,” Justine said.

We agreed, and I returned to my room.

I woke up a little too early. I wanted to catch some sleep again before doing anything else later.

My wedding is in two days, and I was excited, but it wasn’t as I had planned before this entire thing started.

However, I was determined to make the most of my day. I won’t let those cowards ruin it for me.

I dropped on the bed and fell asleep like a log.

When I woke up, Theo was sitting at his laptop, working.

I slowly got out of bed and strolled to the bathroom. Peed and washed my face; I felt refreshed before walking out.

“Love, you are awake,” Theo smiled when he saw me. He opened his arms for me to embrace, and I did.

I hugged him, and he kissed my cheek, pulling me onto his lap.

“What are you doing?” I asked, peeking into the laptop.

“Oh, that,” Theo hissed. “I was looking into the terrorists. It’s nothing serious”

“So, how did it go with Ramos?” I asked.

A sour expression crossed his face. I could understand why he looked like that.

“Kappa Taylor had him wired up for the mission, and he already left about an hour ago,” Theo said, looking at his watch.

Oh shoot! Have I been sleeping for that long?

“Do you want to talk about it?” I asked, cupping his face.

He looked into my eyes, and I knew he was fighting back tears.

I leaned

my head on my chest, patting his back.

He had every right to feel the way he does, and I hated that it wa him going through this.

He didn’t do anything to deserve this,

“Why is Garry doing this to me?” Theo asked, tears falling from his face. “I have never done anything wrong to him. So, why would he try to make me a war criminal?”

I had no idea what to say. If I said I had answers for him, I would have been lying.

The first time I met Garry Walker was at the court where he was residing, and he gave me an ill feeling in my stomach that very same day,

It was as if I knew there was something awfully fishy about him, nd it turned out to be true.

“Wolves are a complex being, my love, we can’t really tell what’s going through their minds,” I said, trying to empathise with

“Are you sure we can trust Ramos, though?” Theo raised his head from my chest and worriedly asked. “He betrayed me. once, and he can do it again. Besides, who says he’s telling the trth?” He said, making a valid point, and I agree.

“I don’t know what the truth is again,” I said, feeling defeated. “But, I won’t let Ramos go without a plan. I have scouts on his trail, don’t worry”

“You’re always three steps ahead,” Theo smiled at me. “What would I have done without you, my love?”

I cupped his face and kissed his lips, giggling.

“We wouldn’t have to know, big wolf. We are getting married in two days, let’s focus on that now. Forget everything else”

“I can’t believe you’re mine, Kaia, really mine” Theo’s eyes watered. He was emotional.

“Me neither, I wonder what good deed I did in my past life to get a man like you,” I said, kidding him on the top of his head.

“It was I who is lucky to have you in my life. I will love and cherish you for the rest of my life, I won’t betray or disrespect you,” Theo vowed, pulling me in for a hug. “I love you so much, Kaia. I really do.”

I hugged him as tears streamed down my face. I couldn’t believe this was my life now.

Seven months ago, I was begging a man to choose me over his mistress, and here I am with a man who loves me loudly and without shame.

He treated me better than anyone ever had. I would protect this with everything I have.

“I love you too, Theo. With all of my heart,” I said and kissed him.

He picked me up and took me to our bed, and we spent hours making love and snuggling in each other’s arms.

If someone told me this was paradise, I wouldn’t argue it.

Because it’s perfect and I love it here.
