Chapter 75 Mr Sawyer’s Driver
“Mom, stay out of this. I’ll talk to Katrina myself.”
With that, Chase yanked out his IV and rushed out of the room.
Cecilia watched him go, stamping her foot in frustration.

Outside the hospital, Esther stood holding a bouquet. She turned to Nina. “You two grew up together. Just go in, check on him, say a few words, and come right back.”
Nina glanced down at the flowers in her hands, not particularly eager. But the thought of seeing Chase in such a state made her agree.
“I’ll wait out here,” Esther added.
Nina nodded.
On the third–floor corridor, Nina had just stepped out of the elevator when she spotted Chase, still in his school jacket. She frowned. “You’re already up?”
Before she could finish, Chase lunged forward and grabbed her by the throat. His voice was icy. “Nina–was this your doing?”
His grip tightened, cutting off her breath.
“Chase–have you lost your mind?”
“You must’ve said something to my mom! How can you be this vicious? Or were those guys last night yours too–trying to force me to marry you? Nina, you’re disgusting!”
Summoning all her strength, Nina shoved him away.
“Chase, you’re insane!”
Her eyes were filled with nothing but disgust. “Who do you think you are? Are you seriously that full of yourself? It’s not like I can’t find someone else!”
“You-!”
The look in her eyes made his chest tighten.
“I’m telling you, even if Katrina isn’t a Sawyer, I’ll never abandon her. So give it up!”

With that, Chase knocked the bouquet out of Nina’s hands.

Nina’s expression darkened. By then, Cecilia had caught up. Seeing Chase disappear into the elevator, she hurried over and grabbed Nina’s hand.
“Nina, he didn’t mean it. Please don’t be upset…”
“Mrs. Mercer, I only came because my mother asked me to. Since Chase clearly can’t stand me,
I won’t force it. Keep the flowers if you want–otherwise, throw them away.”
She turned and left without giving Cecilia a chance to respond.
Meanwhile, Chase sped all the way to the Sawyer family’s villa. As he pulled up, a security guard stopped his car.
“Who are you here to see?”
“I’m looking for Ms. Sawyer. Is she home?”
“Ms. Sawyer? She left the country a long time ago.”
Chase’s expression darkened. “Then where’s Katrina? Where can I find her?”
“Katrina?”
The guard looked confused. Just then, a middle–aged man poked his head out from the security office. “Are you talking about David’s daughter?”
“Who’s David?”
“Mr. Sawyer’s driver.”
In that instant, everything clicked.
Katrina was the driver’s daughter.
From the guardhouse, someone called toward the small back buildings, “Katrina! Someone’s here for you!”
Katrina stepped out from a row of cramped units tucked into a corner of the estate.
