“I mean, other people’s caves at least have stone tables and things like that. Do you want to add anything? Like what you had at your hot spring?”
The moment she heard that, Laurel lit up. She picked up a small stick, squeezed in beside Sebastian, and started drawing on the ground.
“That’d be great. We can plan it out. We’ll divide the inner area into a few rooms, one for storage and one for sleeping.
“The outer area can be the living room and kitchen. We can cook there and even host your friends.
“And then we’ll put down flooring and make a door curtain.
you have no idea. When we came back yesterday, I saw beastmen in the caves doing… you know what … anyway, we really should block the view…”
The more she spoke, the quieter she got, her small face turning red with embarrassment.
Sebastian listened intently, trying to figure out what a bedroom and living room were supposed to be.
But then why was Laurel suddenly blushing? What did she see yesterday? Beastmen in the middle of mating?
She looked so cute when she’s embarrassed.
And when he thought about how they’d be doing things like that in the cave someday too… Well, Sebastian’s face turned red as well.
Why did that sound kind of exciting?
After the meal, Sebastian carried Laurel on his back and headed to the back mountain.
The cubs were still weak, but they were already in recovery.
Laurel cooked a big pot of meat stew, planning to help them regain strength.
She picked up a chubby cub and walked out of the cave, feeding him soup as she smiled and coaxed him. “Good boy. Get some sun too. It’s good for you.”
The cub felt warm all over after drinking the soup. He squinted happily in her arms and

Laurel was completely charmed. She reached out and tickled the cub’s chin. “So fluffy. You’re adorable.”
“What are you doing? You shameless wild female. Put my cub down right now!”
A tall figure burst out of the nearby bushes. Long blue-gray hair fell like a waterfall, muscles clearly outlined beneath wheat-colored skin.
Under sharp brows, brown eyes flashed with wild fury. His nose was high, lips pressed tight, his whole expression blazing with anger.
Wilona charged at Laurel, shouting furiously, “You black-hearted wild female. You tricked my cub into calling you mama. How dare you.”
Caught off guard, Wilona snatched the cub away and shoved Laurel hard, knocking her to the ground.
It turned out Wilona had been worried about her sick cub and had secretly come to check on him.
Instead, she’d seen the newly arrived little female carrying her cub out of the cave, and the cub had even called her mama.
Wilona was furious. This wild female had already taken Sebastian, and now she was trying to take her cub too.
“Wilona, what do you think you’re doing?” Sebastian rushed out when he heard the commotion. Seeing the scene, he hurried to help Laurel up, his eyes full of concern.
He scolded coldly, “Who told you to come here? Don’t you know this is a restricted area right now?”
Wilona refused to back down and shouted, “If I’m not allowed here, then why is this wild. female allowed? Why does she get to touch my cub? Why does my cub call her mama?”
Laurel waved her hands quickly, trying to explain. “You misunderstood. I was just feeding the
cub…”
Before she could finish, Ayla’s stern voice rang out from behind them. “Enough. The cub’s illness hasn’t fully cleared yet. Wilona, aren’t you just making things worse?”
At the words “the illness hasn’t cleared,” Wilona’s hands shook.

“What? But I clearly saw her holding the cub. I thought… I thought everything was already fine.”
Panicking, she shoved the cub back into Laurel’s arms and stumbled several steps backward.
The weak cub was startled by his mother’s shouting and rough movements and burst into loud sobs.
Ayla sighed and shook her head. “Wilona, go home. Once the illness is completely gone, we’ll bring the cub back to the tribe.”
