Even though she had no idea what “privacy” meant.

At night, Laurel curled up next to Sebastian, and he quietly shifted closer.

Her small hands caught his long, slender fingers, rocking them as she coaxed, “Sebastian, let’s make some furniture tomorrow, okay? Sleeping and eating on the ground really isn’t great.”

Her playful tone made his ears heat up. He replied softly, “Alright. Females should sleep on stone beds. I’ll build one for you tomorrow.”

He blamed himself, because if his little female slept poorly, that fault belonged to the male.

“As for the rest of the furniture, tell me what it should look like. I’ll make everything for you

tomorrow.”

“Deal!” Laurel’s eyes curved with delight, and she grinned as she described beds, tables and chairs, chests, and cabinets, explaining their shapes and uses.

Sebastian listened carefully, forcing himself to imagine each piece and commit every detail to

memory.

The next morning, after breakfast, Laurel rolled up the hide at the cave entrance, snapped a twig, and traced lines on the ground.

Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting patches of color across the cave, dreamlike and unreal.

Just as she had said, it looked beautiful.

Sebastian smoothed the cave walls and floor, then laid down wooden planks.

Where the little female had drawn lines became the bedroom, storage room, living area, kitchen, and washroom.

Sebastian hung hides and partitions, separating each space.

Directly above the bedroom, an ancient tree stretched skyward, and as its roots grew, the stone ceiling cracked under the pressure.

A strip of soft light spilled onto the floor, unexpectedly charming.

Sebastian gathered stones, planning to repair it, but the little female stopped him.

“Leave it. The moonlight will look amazing at night. The tree above blocks the rain anyway, and we need a window.”

She adored that romantic opening in the ceiling.

Or perhaps she feared endless darkness.

Then she used small sticks to draw the furniture she had described the night before, sketching each piece on the ground.

Sebastian followed her drawings, crafted the furniture, and carried everything into the cave.

A square stone table and four long benches were placed at the center of the living area.

Solid wooden cabinets and a water jar went into the kitchen, and he also made two low stools so he could cook alongside his little female.

The washroom was enclosed on all sides with hides, and he set a large tub inside for her baths.

In the bedroom, as if possessed, Sebastian built a bed five meters long and layered thick hides

on top.

The storage room filled with neatly arranged cabinets and chests, holding hides, spirit stones, dried foods, and seeds.

When everything was finished, the spacious cave finally felt less empty, and their voices no longer echoed when they spoke.

The final step was adding gentle details.

Food, cookware, grass baskets, and pine needle jars were lined up neatly.

Soft hide cushions rested on the stone benches, and hide rugs spread across the bedroom floor.

Bright little flowers were tucked into river stone vases, lighting up every corner.

A string of bone chimes hung at the cave entrance, and the breeze set them ringing softly.

When the decorating was done, Sebastian stood at the entrance, wolf eyes narrowed, admiring the result and feeling deeply satisfied.

“So a cave isn’t just a place for beastmen to sleep. It can be warm and beautiful.”

From the depths of his heart, he realized that because Laurel had appeared, he now had a true

The little female beside him studied the usually striking man, now dusty and unkempt, silver hair in disarray. She poked his abdomen and teased, “That’s a really huge bed, huh.”

Sebastian flushed instantly.

After dinner, Laurel coaxed, “Sebastian, could you carry more water today? I want a hot bath.”

“Okay.” He lowered his gaze with a smile and could not stop himself from ruffling her hair.

These tasks were things males did as a matter of course, yet hearing them requested by the little female made the beast within him feel strangely content.

Ever since they left the hot spring, Laurel had only been able to wash in the cold pond.

Now that they had a tub, she wanted to soak properly.

Sebastian prepared the hot water, and Laurel sank into the wooden barrel as steam rose around her. Her body relaxed, and the fatigue of the day melted away.
