“Even though once an Ignifox reached one beast cycle old and fully shifted into humanoid form, they could never return to their original Ignifox body, my beast form was still this beautiful!” Alice said proudly.

She traced the small dots on the bonding mark at her waist with her fingertip. “See these seven little dots? Each one is a soul imprint from one of my mates. This one on the fox’s chest belongs to my first mate, Danny.”

Laurel looked at Alice’s lower abdomen. The mark resembled a constellation, shaped like a six- tailed fox. The red lines outlining the beast form were clean and simple. Seven faintly glowing dots were embedded between the lines, like pearls of different colors.

Thinking back, Laurel realized she had indeed seen similar red fox marks on the chests of Alice’s mates earlier.

Because the design was so minimal, she had not paid much attention to them before.

“That’s amazing,” Laurel said sincerely. “But what if I can’t form a bonding mark?”

“Can’t form one? If you can’t form one, that just means you’re a male,” Alice rolled her eyes at her.

She complained silently in her heart. Honestly, worrying about this every day was exhausting. What was Sebastian even doing? His female’s coming-of-age ceremony, and she had to handle it herself too. Really.

Alice rubbed her temples, completely unaware that she had misunderstood Laurel.

Inside the cave, the three males had naturally overheard the conversation.

Sebastian thought that taking Laurel to a coming-of-age ceremony might not be a bad idea after all.

Danny and Marvin exchanged sympathetic looks toward Sebastian, thinking to themselves, Man, you’ve held back for so long. That must have been rough.

A flash of white light passed, and the imposing Fenfrost vanished into the night with the little female on his back.

Runeveil Forest at night was breathtaking. The woods were quiet, and water flowed softly in the distance.

The Fenfrost ran through the trees while the little female on his back looked around curiously.

The night breeze lifted her long hair, smooth as silk, shimmering under the moonlight.

About 15 minutes later, the wolf and the girl arrived at Noctilume Forest.

The forest wasn’t large, but it felt magical and romantic.

As night deepened, the forest awakened. Glowing vines cascaded like starlight, spores and insects drifted through the air, as if countless spirits were whispering in multicolored light.

A luminous river shimmered nearby. Fish darted through the water like shooting stars.

Laurel was completely captivated by the sight.

Sebastian slowed his pace and walked leisurely through the dreamlike glow with her.

They stopped beneath a massive tree bathed in soft purple-pink light. Flowering vines poured down like waterfalls, dotted with tiny glowing blossoms that looked like fallen stars,

Sebastian shifted back into humanoid form, gently snapped off a vine, wove it into a wreath, and carefully placed it on the little female’s head.

The soft glow illuminated her delicate face, making it seem as if she were a flower spirit born from the forest itself, perfectly at home in this mysterious world.

Sebastian gazed at her and lost himself for a moment.

Laurel plucked a small flower and gently tucked it into Sebastian’s silver hair near his ear, smiling as she did so.

She looked at him dreamily, her eyes fixed on his deep blue gaze. “Sebastian, you’re really handsome.”

“Oh? Then who looks better, me or Marvin?” Sebastian raised a brow, a teasing note in his voice.

Laurel froze for a moment, then laughed helplessly. This guy actually remembered that she had glanced at Marvin during dinner.

She shook her head and said softly, “I just thought Marvin’s eyes looked a lot like Alice’s. They’re like siblings, so I looked a bit longer. But Sebastian, you’re the most handsome male in my heart. There’s no one like you.”

A satisfied smile curved Sebastian’s lips. Her words clearly pleased him.

He leaned closer, his voice low and gentle. “Then Laurel, do you like me?”

The distance between them was too close. His long lashes trembled slightly, casting shadows that made him look both mysterious and intense.

Laurel’s heart raced. She nodded, her voice soft and earnest. “Yes. I really, really like you.”

Sebastian chuckled softly, bent down, and lifted her into his arms. With a light leap, he landed on a tree branch.

He held her close. Glowing lights and shadows wove together around them, forming a private world of their own.
