Chapter 251 Zane, You’re Amazing!
Zane came to a sudden stop, kis long, pointed ears twitching.
“This way.”
He immediately veered off to the side.
He had already picked up the scent of the eight rabbit beastfolk.
But there were several wild animals nearby as well.
The forest ahead was thick, but after half an hour of running, the trees finally began to thin.

Beneath a large tree in the middle of a grassy clearing, the eight rabbit beastfolk huddled together, loo around in terror.
Burrow had only just advanced to Level 2 and was still completely exhausted, with the other seven gathered around him.
He panted heavily, too weak to even raise his hands, and said faintly, “You seven need to do exactly wha say. When I distract those beasts, run. Remember, stay together and don’t leave anyone behind.”
One of the rabbit beastfolk immediately protested, “No. We’re not leaving. How could we abandon you?
Burrow frowned and snapped, “Then none of us will get out of here alive!”
“If we die, we die together. Burrow, without you, the rest of us won’t survive much longer anyway.”
Burrow knew he was right, but even if only one of them escaped, it would still be worth it. Any extra tim alive was better than none. Maybe those beasts would be satisfied after eating him.
The grass around them rustled softly as something crept closer, but they had nowhere left to run.
There were simply too many of them.
Suddenly, a pale yellow figure sprang high out of the grass and lunged at the rabbit beastfolk.
At the same time, identical figures charged from all four directions.
ľ
Five enormous lionesses surrounded them, each more than 16 feet long and over six feet tall, with razor- sharp claws and huge jaws filled with vicious teeth.
Despair washed over Burrow, but he forced down his fear and stepped in front of the others.
He could practically smell the blood on the beasts’ breath.
They hadn’t found any large prey in days and had been surviving on a few small animals, leaving them nearly exhausted.
Burrow had realized two days ago that the lionesses were hunting them.

few days ago.
He had actually come to save them!
The white wolf leaped even higher than the one lioness who sprang high out of the grass and leader to the ground with one swipe.
More lionesses emerged from the grass one after another. At a glance, there were more than a dozen. The beasts knew how to hunt as a group and had surrounded Burrow and the others.
The lioness whimpered, climbed back to its feet, and growled at Zane.
The other lionesses gathered behind it and advanced on Zane together.
Burrow finally managed to stand. Only then did he notice another beastfolk riding on the white wolf’s back. It was the female he had once seen from a distance, the one who looked like a goddess.
Burrow’s eyes lit up, and he couldn’t take his gaze off Claire.
Claire looked around and said to Zane, “Aren’t there a few too many lionesses? Maybe we should wait for Marcus before attacking.”
The two sides had reached a temporary standoff. Eva’s brothers should be safe for the moment since every
lioness had turned its attention to Zane.
Zane replied calmly, “No need. I can handle them.”
With that, he lightly tossed Claire off his back and charged at the lead lioness.
Claire flew toward the rabbit beastfolk and landed perfectly in Burrow’s auns.
Burrow caught her against his chest. The female’s unique scent filled his nose, fresh and intoxicating.
Claire gave him an embarrassed smile.
“Thank you.”
Then she hopped out of his arms, planted her hands on her hips, and watched Zane
Burrow stared at his empty hands with a hint of disappointment, but he quickly pushed the feeling aside and turned toward the white wolf surrounded by lionesses.
Zane truly lived up to being Level 3. Even while fighting so many opponents alone, he never lost the upgié.

The lionesses were still only wild animals. They understood basic teamwork, but against a Level 3 beastfolk like Zane, theis only advantage was their numbers.
Before long, Zane had beaten the lionesses until they yelped in pain and retreated to the side, too frightened to attack again.
Claire punched a fist into the air and shouted, “Zane, you’re amazing! That was so cool!”
The white wolf stood proudly, and none of the lionesses dared take another step forward.
Just as Claire breathed a sigh of relief, an enormous lion slowly emerged from the forest.
It was nearly as large as the white wolf. Despite being nothing mofe than a wild beast, it had grown astonishingly powerful.
A thick golden mane gleamed around its neck in the sunlight, shimmering with every step.
The moment the lionesses saw it, they rushed over and gathered around it, whining and growling as though complaining about what had happened.
